Earlier last month we have seen the first picture showing Samsung's own virtual reality headset and today we have yet another pictures showing a bit more details regarding the Samsung Gear VR, as it is going to be known on the market.
Codenamed "Project Moonlight", the Samsung Gear VR is a bit like the Googles Cardboard project which pretty much uses a smartphone display to give you a working VR headset. According to info
coming from The Verge, Samsung is expected to announce the Gear VR during IFA 2014 show in Berlin, Germany.
While Oculus VR uses Galaxy Note 3 screen, it appears that Samsung wants to do a similar thing, just without the screen as you would have to connect your own smartphone to it.
According to the picture, the Samsung Gear VR features a focus dial and a micro USB connector which will allow it to connect to the smartphone. The headset is pictured next to Samsung Galaxy S5 but all reports suggest that other Samsung smartphones will be compatible as well, especially the upcoming Galaxy Note 4.
Samsung has a big event scheduled for 3rd of September, when it will host two big events in both New York and at IFA 2014 trade show in Berlin.
