ASUS Republic of Gamers has now launched its new Swift PG278Q gaming monitor, a 27-inch 2560x1440 resolution monitor with 144Hz refresh rate and Nvidia G-Sync technology.

While originally announced back during Computex 2014 show in June, the ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q will now be available around the world. As noted, the ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q is based on a 27-inch 2560x1440 panel, which adds up to a pixel density of 109 PPI (pixels per inch). In addition to a rather generous size and amount of pixels on it, the Swift PG278Q also features a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. It also features the Turbo Key features which allows you to set the refresh rate on-the-fly, switching from 60Hz to 120 and to 144Hz.

The ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q gaming monitor is also one of the first monitor that will feature a built-in Nvidia G-Sync technology which synchronizes the refresh rate of the display to the one on the GPU in a NVIDIA GeForce GTX powered PC, thus reducing stutter, input lag and eliminating screen tearing.

The ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q monitor comes with a single DisplayPort 1.2 input and two USB 3.0 port hub. According to ASUS, thanks to its super-narrow 6mm bezel, the ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q is also perfect for multi-display setups and its stand allows tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustments.

According to ASUS, the ROG Swift PG278Q is now available in Taiwan, Asia Pacific and European markets, while China and North America markets should get it by the end of next month. The price is set at US $799 but will vary by region.
