MSI announces WS60 workstation notebook

MSI are showing two new workstation notebooks these days which go by the names WS60 and WS60 3K. Both models only weigh 1.9 kilogram and are there are well portable.

If we start looking for specifications we find for instance, that both notebooks feature a 15.6 inch display and it measures 390 x 266 x 19.9 millimeter, weighing only 1.9 kilogram. The WS60 features a FullHD display whereas the WS60 3K's display offers 2880 x 1620 pixel. Furthermore there is a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7-4710HQ processor, running at 2.5 GHz and next to that there are up to 16 Gigabyte DDR3-1600 memory. When looking for storage options there are two M.2 slots which can be equipped with up to 256 Gigabyte SSD storage in RAID 0 or RAID 1 configurations. Other than that you can also have the notebook with up to 1 Terabyte hard drive. Looking for other features there is WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, a card reader (SDHC/XC), three USB 3.0 ports, one VGA out, an HDMI out, a DisplayPort out and a Thunderbolt port.

Unfortunately there is yet no information on pricing and availability. We expect these notebooks to hit the market anytime soon and they might be priced at roughly 2000 to 2500 Euro.
