According to rumors floating around we might see the new Nvidia Geforce GTX Titan II graphics card in early 2015, considering that engineering sample of GM200 A1 GPU has been spotted in shipment between Taiwan and India.
The A1 stepping of Nvidia GPU is usually used for per-production testing while A2 revision is the one that is usually mass produced. 3DCenter.org managed to get some specifications regarding the new GM200 GPU from its sources suggesting that the GM200 could be built on existing 28nm manufacturing process as TSMC is still not ready for 20nm. According to details provided by 3DCenter.org, the GM200 could end up with over 4,000 CUDA cores and feature a 512-bit memory interface.
Considering that it will still be based on the 28nm manufacturing process, the GM200 is expected be quite huge, over 600mm2, so it will depend on Maxwell architecture power efficiency to keep the power consumption as low as possible.
According to same rumors, the GM200 GPU and the Geforce GTX Titan II graphics card could be ready as early as first half of 2015.
