More titles getting AMD Mantle API support

GTA V is on the list

There is apparently a new list of games that will be getting AMD Mantle API support and according to it, Mantle API will be supported in some rather important upcoming games, including the PC version of the Grand Theft Auto V.

The list was published by Videocardz.com and, in addition to the GTA V, includes some rather important upcoming titles. The biggest win is of course the Grand Theft Auto V, closely followed by the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The rest of the list includes Homefront: The Revolution, Alien: Isolation, Elite: Dangerous, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Lichdom: Battlemage and Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars.

There have been couple of rumors that Mantle API could be easily ported to upcoming Micosoft DirectX 12 which makes the life for developer quite easier, considering that they will be able to support AMD Mantle API now and either switch to DirectX 12 or support both when the DirectX 12 becomes available.

In any case, if this list proves to be true, AMD got a big win over Nvidia and as its GPUs will work well, or should we say better, with those games.
