The new motherboards, that are based on Intels 9 Series chipset are avaialble since a little bit more than a month meanwhile but this is not reason for ASUS to stop introducing new models.
With the H97-Pro Gamer, ASUS has created a new motherboard, which is based on the H97 chipset and suitable for gamer.
Looking for features we find for example support for up to 32 Gigabyte DDR3-1600 memory as well as one PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot, one PCI Express 2.0 x4 slot, two additional PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots and three legacy PCI slots. In order to connect more peripherals and storage devices there is one SATA Express connector, four SATA-III headers, one M.2 slot, six USB 3.0 ports (two on the PCB) and eight USB 2.0 ports (six on the motherboard). In case of features specifically targeting gamers there is Intel Gigabit LAN in combination with ASUS's GameFirst Software and ASUS's SupremeFX audio solution.
In terms of availability ASUS announces, that the new motherboard should be hitting markets by the end of this month and the suggested retail price is 109 Euro.
