MSI officially announces Nightblade Z97 barebone

Impressive little gaming system

Showcased back in March during Cebit 2014 show in Hannover, MSI has now officially announced its new Nightblade Z97 mini-ITX Gaming barebone.

As the name suggests, the MSI Nightblade Z97 is based on MSI's Z97I Gaming motherboard which packs quite a few features despite its small size. The Z97I Gaming motherboard and thus the MSI Nightblade Z97 as well, is based on Intel's Z97 Express chipset with support for Intel's 4th and 5th generation Core CPUs. Despite its small 16L size with 345.8x277.3x175.7mm dimensions, the Nightblade Z97 has enough room to support dual-slot 290mm long graphics card inits single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot as well as up to 16GB of DDR3-3200 memory in two DIMM slots, one 3.5-inch, one 2.5-inch and two mSATA drives, all powered by included 600W 80PLUS Gold PSU.

The rest of the specifications for the MSI Nightblade Z97 include integrated 7.1-channel HD audio with Audio Boost and SoundBlaster, E2200 Killer Gigabit Ethernet, integrated 802.11ac WiFi, and pretty much anything you would want from a small gaming system, including a neat carrying handle in case you want to take it to LAN parties.

Unfortunately, MSI did not shed any details regarding the price or the actual availability date for the new MSI Nightblade Z97 barebone gaming system.
