Nvidia releases the Geforce GT 730 graphics card

Based on the same 28nm GK107 GPU

Nvidia has now announced and launched its newest entry-level graphics card, the Geforce GT 730.

Based on two different GPUs, depending on the version, the new Geforce GT 730 is basically a lower clocked GT 740 with slower DDR3 memory.

The two GPUs, which will be behind the GT 730, will pack either 384 CUDA cores or 96 CUDA cores. In order to differentiate it from the GT 730, the GT 740 will have slightly lower clock for the GPU, 700MHz or 902MHz and also comes with 1GB or 2GB of lower 1.8GHz clocked DDR3 memory or 5.0GHz clocked GDDR5 memory. The memory interface will be 64-bit or 128-bit, depending on the version.

While these are Nvidia reference design specification, many manufacturers will come up with a different designs so you will be able to see the GT 730 in various form-factors, with 1 or 2GB of both DDR3 and GDDR5 memory as well as with both 64-bit and 128-bit memory interface, so there will be plenty versions to choose from.

The price will range anywhere from below €50 up to €70-80, depending on the configuration and version.
