During Computex 2014, HIS has displayed a rather unique version of the Radeon R9 290X graphics card which actually features a factory-fitted liquid cooling solution, similar to the one found on the reference Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card, the HIS Radeon R9 290X IceQ Hybrid.
As you can see from the pictures below taken by Techpowerup.com, the new HIS R9 290X IceQ Hybrid uses AMD's reference-design PCB in blue paired up with Arctic Cooling Accelero Hybrid VGA cooler. While not being the full-cover liquid cooling solution, the base-plate of the Accelero Hybrid does take care of the memory cooling while the fan and heatsink part of the cooler deals with the cards VRM.
The only modification to the PCB that can see is the fact that it features two 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors, instead of the usual 8+6-pin configuration, most likely in order to keep the GPU from throttling down on clocks and provide a bit more overclocking headroom.
Unfortunately, HIS did not shed any light on the actual clocks of the new R9 290X IceQ Hybrid but we are sure that it will be launched pretty soon so we will know more details.
