It will support 8-cores CPUs

According to latest rumors, Intel is planning to release their new Coffee Lake CPUs alongside the Z370 chipset in Q4 2017. Although the acclaimed launch date will be somewhen during the first days of October, news leaks related to Coffee Lake are making it through almost every day now.


No dummy dies

It looks like Roman "der8auer" is in love with delidding CPUs. Bringing out the razor blades and soldering heat gun he's very carefully removed the heatspreader from a Rzyen Threadripper CPU and what's underneath is interesting to see. According to his pictures, Ryzen Threadripper is based on four actual dies and there are no dummy dies or just spacers underneath the heatspreader.


No tempered glass and no RGB lighting!

Lian Li is returning to its origins with a new line of all aluminum PC chassis. The PC-Q50, the PC-V320, and the PC-V720 they all come with a very classic feature set and without all the latest and greatest eye-catching and fancy features like tempered glass or RGB lighting.


Less than 13 million units in 2017

Gigabyte's motherboard sales numbers have been declining for a few years already and for 2017 it looks like the vendor will struggle selling 13 million units. For 2018 market analysts are predicting that Gigabyte might even have a hard time selling 10 million units, which would be a 50% decline compared to the 20 million boards sold in 2014.

Following the launch of the G.Skill DDR4-4600, even Corsair intros a ridiculously fast DDR4-4600MHz CL19-23-23-43 memory kit with a total capacity of 16GB (2 x 8GB). The Vengeance LPX DDR4-4600MHz 16GB retail kits are aimed at high-end X299 motherboards.

A few days ago, Enermax has introduced its new MaxTytan series of power supply units. Meanwhile the company has added two more models which are going to be available with 1050W and 1250W of output power, feature modular design as well as a 5-year warranty plan and 80 PLUS Titanium efficiency rating.


For Prime and TUF series

Following the launch of Intel's X299 chipset, EKWB has released a new monoblock for four ASUS motherboards: the Prime X299-A, the Prime X299-Deluxe, the TUF X299 Mark 1 and the TUF X299 Mark 2. This monoblock will apparently add water cooling to both the CPU and the VRM, thanks to a huge single water block. The EK-FB ASUS PRIME X299 RGB Monoblock is compatible with ASUS's Aura RGB, which will allow you to create neat looking setups thanks to customizable lighting.


With WindForce 3X GeForce cooler

Gigabyte is updating their Aorus line of graphics cards with models that come with WindForce 3X coolers. The upcoming Aorus GTX 1060 sports a triple-fan cooler with black and orange color scheme. In addition the card comes with a solid backplate.


Several changes

Microsoft's Windows 10 Creators Update introduced several changes in the privacy settings. The Fall Creators Update will shake up Windows 10's privacy model again by adding new privacy settings. In addition the company is also explaining how they collect all the data. Enterprise users can still control the amount of diagnostic data that is shared with Microsoft.


Or is it just a typo?

According to the latest rumors, NVIDIA might be working on a GTX 1070 Ti in order to respond to AMD's RX Vega 56. This rumor comes from the Chinese website Mydrivers who has reported a picture of an alleged GTX 1070Ti STRIX O8G. At the moment there aren't many information and this could even just be a typo.

AOC has expanded its monitor lineup with a new monitor featuring a 27-inch VA LED panel and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The C2789FH8 features AOC's SuperColor Technology which should provide a wider color gamut and allows for more life-like colors. Furthermore the monitor features thin bezels and a generally sleek design.


For almost $20 US Billion

A group of investors led by Bain Capital is going to buy the world's second-largest manufacturer of flash memory chips, the Toshiba Corporation. According to Toshiba, Bain and its partners are already negotiating. The sale is set to $18 US Billion Dollar and it’s sold to a consortium in which Western Digital (who last year acquired Sandisk as well) has a large stake.


New color scheme

Intel's Z370 platform is right around the corner and during the upcoming weeks vendors might launch quite a few new products. Thanks to Videocardz, we can already have a look at upcoming Z370XP SLI motherboard. This model should belong to the mid-range series and comes with an attractive price tag.

Team Group has shown their L5 LITE-3D SSDs series, which are based on 3D NAND Flash memory. The L5 LITE-3D drives are available with 120GB, 240GB and 480GB capacity. All the L5 LITE-3D SSDs come with a 2.5-inch enclosure measuring 7mm in height, which makes them suitable for ultrabooks as well.

New HAF cases

At Computex 2017 Cooler Master celebrated their 25th anniversary by revealing two redesigned cases: the Cosmos and the HAF. Although there aren't details about the upcoming Cosmos, Newegg has now listed the MasterCase H500P. The case is based on the same design and layout the old HAF cases were known for but it now features RGB functionality, a cleaner layout and extended water cooling support.



Added support and issues fixed

AMD has released the latest update to their Radeon GPU drivers, the Crimson ReLive Edition 17.9.1. Just a few days after the last WHQL driver has been launched, this new version goes online. As always support for new games has been added and issues have been fixed.



With 32:9 aspect ratio

During the IFA show in Berlin, Philips has unveiled an ultra-wide and extra large display. The 492P8 is wider than any other ultrawide monitor thanks to its 49-inch panel. The monitor is based on a rather unusual 3840 x 1080 resolution and a 1800R curvature.



The Z370 KRAIT Gaming

At the moment there is only one picture showing the layout of the Z370 KRAIT Gaming. Like the previous model the new one features a completely black color scheme with white labels on the PCB. According to the first leaks, Z370 motherboards appear to be very similar to the Z270 models, but besides this Coffee Lake chips won’t work on the 7th generation platform.
