Microsoft's DirectX 12 API will bring plenty of new and exciting features but one that was definitely needed brings better multi-GPU scaling, without the need fo GPU drivers and it appears that this works, at least in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and according to AMD.
According to AMD's post over at Radeon.com, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided DirectX 12 multi-GPU support works quite well and scaling on AMD's Radeon RX 480 and Radeon RX 470 graphics cards is up to 100 percent on certain resolutions.
AMD tested it at 1440p and very-high preset, hitting double the FPS on both setups, which was pretty hard to achieve even after an update with Crossfire or SLI profiles.
The Multi-GPU feature in DirectX 12 sounds like a great improvement so hopefully other games will implement it in future.
