Civilization VI gets PC system requirements

Does not need a lot of RAM

Firaxis has announced minimum and recommended PC system requirements for the upcoming Civilization VI game and, unlike some games announced recently, these do not sound that bad.

According to the list published at Steam, you will need at least 12GB of HDD/SSD space and Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 64-bit OS in order to play the game.

The minimum system requirements also include Intel Core i3 2.5GHz or AMD Phenom II 2.6GHz CPU, 4GB of RAM and either an Nvidia Geforce GT(S) 450 or AMD Radeon HD 5570 graphics card.

The recommended system requirements push those specifications up to Intel's Haswell 4th generation Core i5 2.5GHz+ or AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz+ CPU, 8GB or more of RAM and either an Nvidia GTX 770 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 or better graphics card.

These system requirements do not sound half bad considering some that we saw recently, especially since games now require at least 8GB of RAM and 12/16GB have become recommended.

In case you missed it earlier, Civilization VI is scheduled to launch on October 21st.
