MSI unveils a new Geforce GTX 1060 3GB graphics card

The cost-effective OCV3 version

MSI has unveiled yet another but also cost-effective Geforce GTX 1060 3GB graphics card that will feature a slightly shorter design, the MSI GTX 1060 3GB OCV3.

Based on a custom PCB, the new MSI GTX 1060 3GB OCV3 has a slightly shorter design but still needs a single 6-pin PCIe power connector as it comes with factory overclock with GPU set at 1544MHz for the base and 1759MHz for the Boost clocks.

MSI also used a simpler cooler design with a smaller aluminum heatsink and center placed 80mm fan.

As this is a 3GB version of the GTX 1060, it comes with slightly more cut-down GP106 GPU with 1152 CUDA cores, 72 TMUs and 48 ROPs. It also comes with 3GB of GDDR5 memory, clocked at 8.0GHz and paired up with a 192-bit memory interface.

While MSI did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date we suspect it should show up soon with a price close to US $199.
