AMD did not release WHQL driver in over 160 days

Might be the reason behind game problems

AMD definitely has some rather big problems when it comes to drivers as there has not been a WHQL-certified driver for almost six months but also some of the games released recently simply do not work well on AMD Radeon graphics cards.

While AMD puts a lot of blame on Nvidia GameWorks when those games are concerned that does not change the fact that AMD has not issued a WHQL-certified driver in over 160 days. While it did release some Beta drivers, its driver releases are way behind those of Nvidia, which has not only updated its drivers more regularly but also has Game Ready drivers for every major game release.

AMD had some issues with driver release before but has been improving and we have seen monthly release of Catalyst drivers and the last major Omega driver release have been quite good but releasing just two Beta drivers after Catalyst 14.12 Omega WHQL, which came back in December last year, is simply not good for AMD Radeon owners.

Hopefully, AMD will have a major graphics driver release soon as both Project Cars and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are simply under performing on AMD Radeon graphics cards.
