Corsair is the first gaming and enthusiast brand to cooperate with the japanese SSD controller manufacturer Link A Media Device (LAMD). LAMD is well known in the enterprise business but not in the gaming and enthusiast market. With the Neutron GTX there is now a drive that sould be capable of delivering up to 555 Megabyte per second sequential read, 511 Megabyte per second sequential write and up to 85'000 IOPS.

With the
Neutron GTX from Corsair you get a 240 Gigabyte
SSD which is based on a LAMD LM87800 controller and Toggle NAND Flash memory from
Toshiba.
These have been manufactured using a 24 nanometer process and the exact product
number is TH58TEG802HBA8C. Unfortunately we don't know how many P/E-cycles
these chips allow but since a smaller manufacturing process reduces P/E-cycles
we guess that these chips must be somewhere between 3'000 and 5'000 P/E-cycles.
A closer look at the delivery shows that there is 2.5 inch to 3.5 inch
adapter bracket, a set of screws and a manual. There is no disk imaging software included in the
bundle.
