Headphone
Like the previous model, Kingston decided to equip the HyperX Cloud II with two 53 millimeters drivers, which should be able to guarantee a good sound experience. We tested the HyperX Cloud II with a wide variety of music, movies and games. Despite our initial fears, the HyperX Cloud II headset was a rather pleasant surprise and the sound is, in our opinion, well balanced. During our tests we found
that it has great reproduction of high, mids and bass, and Kingston certainly did a good job from this point of view. Only on high-volume, we found some distortion in the audio quality. If you love the deep and pumped bass, you can still raise the tone through the equalizer.
We tested the headset with both foam cushions included in the bundle and in both cases the sound proofing is very good especially thanks to the quantity and the quality of material used.
As for the virtual 7.1 mode, we must admit that we were also impressed. The sound in Battlefield 4 is very distinct and clear, you will be actually able to hear from where the enemy is coming or from where they are shooting and sometimes this can make a big difference.
Microphone
The microphone is placed on a flexible and removable arm. The support is
very flexible and with memory effect, which will definetely be a good thing at events and LAN parties.
The HyperX Cloud II is a gaming headset with 7.1 virtual surround and inside the package you will find a handy remote control through which you can adjust the volume of
both the microphone and the headphones.
