Closer Look
The
most interesting feature of the V900 is definitely its body, which is made from
parts that offer different grip styles as well as a rough and smooth surfaces. The shape is
pretty classic with average dimensions. The left side offers some extra space
for the grip of your thumb. The materials are well-desinged and implemented and like usual,
there is a lot of attention to details. The rough and porous surfaces ensure an
excellent grip, while the smooth top with its almost velvety finish makes the
mouse very comfortable right from the beginning. The shape and arrangement of
buttons make the mouse asymmetrical and usable only by right-handers. The wheel,
which is made from plastic and covered almost entirely with rubber, is big,
strong and provides excellent grip as well as tactile feedback. Right behind the
wheel, there is a button to increase/decrease the DPI. On the back of the mouse
there is the Rapoo logo placed on a silver area.
Back
The V900 uses an laser sensor, the VPRO Gaming Laser Sensor (powered by Avago), which is able to reach 8200 DPI
resolution in 100DPI steps. Under the mouse there are four small black teflon feet arranged in a way to ensure a low friction and
the bottom part also features a small button for backlight control. The sensor is located
in the central part of the mouse. Despite being a gaming mouse you can't adjust the weight, however, the V900 is in our opinion not completely well balanced
and is a bit too heavy on the rear part. The cable is 1.8 meters long, sleeved
and with gold USB connector.
