Feature list finally up to dateDuring their New Horizon event AMD has also shown the new AM4 platform. The upcoming high-end motherboards will be based on the X370 chipset which offers all the latest feature you might want from a recent motherboard.
As fast as a Core i7-6900KYesterday, during their "New Horizon" event, which AMD hosted in its home town Texas, AMD, for the first time, has shown a RYZEN CPU. AMD worked on Zen, which now goes by the name RYZEN, for almost 4 years and the main focus of the company has been creating a chip that features competitive IPC performance. According to the company, it looks like that Zen either met or exceeded the goals set by the company, so we’re pretty curious to find out more.

With USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 3The Thinkpad X1 Carbon from Lenovo has been released over a year and since there is a yearly refresh cycle on this product, it is to be expected that during CES Lenovo will show a new version. Almost certainly these units will feature an Intel Kaby Lake mobile CPUs replacing the Skylake units.
Up to 2TB of storageADATA has shown their new SU900 series of SSDs based on 3D NAND flash memory. With the SU900 series, ADATA offers a unit based on a Silicon Motion SMI 2258 controller which has been paired with an SLC NAND buffer and a DRAM cache. All this comes in a 2.5 inch package.

Deals with 4K easilyDuring a tech day that was held yesterday in Sonoma California AMD for the first time demonstrated their Radeon Instinct product family. Their new flagship is most likely based the Vega GPU and it goes by the name MI25.
Just a small refreshA few months ago, Thermaltake announced the launch of Core X71 case. Now the company is ready to present a little update on this model, which goes by the name Core X71 Tempered Glass Edition. The Core X71 is a rather tall full-tower chassis that’s been made from SECC steel, ABS plastic and tempered glass.
The first NVMe SSD from CorsairAlthough we have seen many manufacturers joining the M.2 SSD market, Corsair hasn't released any drive so far. The Italian online store Drako.it has now listed suche a drive, which goes by the name Force MP500 NVMe PCIe 3.0 and it’s based on the M.2 2280 form factor.
Including clockAccording to latest rumors AMD is going to launch their Zen based processors on January 17th. Meanwhile a few new slides have leaked revealing additional information on these CPUs as well as the marketing name. AMD will promote these new CPUs using “RYZEN” as a brand name.
16-cores and 32-threadsNew Horizon, the AMD event that will take place December 13th, is right around the corner and during this show we will finally see a preview of the upcoming Zen CPUs. Nevertheless the guys on WCCFTech have already spotted an upcoming Zen server CPUs, featuring 16 cores and 32 threads.

Up to 12% perfomance moreWell-known overclocker Roman "der8auer" Hartung has found a way to unlock TMUs and Stream Processors on AMD Radeon RX 460 graphics card. The unlocking process involves nothing more than a simple firmware update but it might not work on all RX 460 graphics cards and worst case the unlocking process could brick your card. In other words if you do a firmware update, it’s all at your own risk.
Requires Intel X299 chipsetAccording to a report from DigiTimes, Intel's Skylake-X series might be released in Q3 2017 during Gamescom 2017 in Cologne. These new CPUs will require you to buy a new motherboard since they will use a new socket - LGA 2066. The platform is called Basin Falls and also includes new CPUs.
New user-interfaceTechpowerup has released its latest version of the GPU-Z utility, which is now available in version 1.14.0. They’re introducing new features, fix various bugs and improve the user-interface. The latest version of GPU-Z can now detect clocks set by AMD Radeon WattMan on older CoreNext graphics cards, a feature that has been introduced with the release of the latest Crimson ReLive drivers.
