There was quite some awesomeness

Here is a summary of what you missed this week! We have received many configurations via email, we thank all our fans and next week we will continue uploading new photos. Stay tuned! If you wanna join, send to us a message at our official page: facebook

Today we add another article to our CPU Gaming Performance series, where we compare Intel's most recent Core i7-4770K Haswell processor with a Core i7-2600K, which is based on Sandy Bridge architecture. Like usualy our benchmarking parcour consists of several recent games as well as a few theoretical benchmarks. What do you think, how big will the performance differences be? And would it make sense to upgrade?

It's been a bit more than one week now, that AMD launched their new Radeon R9 and R7 200 Series graphics cards, and meanwhile there are lots of custom R9 270X cards online and available. In this article we list all cards with specs and whenever possible with price that are currently available on this planet.

This week is dedicated entirely to the extreme overclocking setups with liquid nitrogen cooling. Day by day we will share bench systems that use single stage, cascade and liquid nitrogen.

High-end for a fair price?

A few weeks ago Cooler Master launched their latest addition to the Cosmos line-up. With the Cosmos, the successful case maker has yet another high-end tower in its portfolio. For 150 Euro Cooler Master offers a lot of interior space as well as easy and comfortable installation of components and compatibility for a lot of custom watercooling gear.

Corsair, Crucial, Intel, OCZ, Plextor, Samsung

If you're one of our regular news readers, then you know, that this week we've been launching a new series of articles. Today it's time, we have a closer look at a selection of SSD.

The "new" Radeon R9 280X cards are out since a bit more than a week and next to the reference models, there is already a vast variety of custom cards available. We've now updated our market overview section with another article, that lists every Radeon R9 280X card available at the moment.

Today we compare another two CPUs to one another. This time we're having a closer look at the AMDs FX-4350 in comparison with Intels Core i5-4670K. Once again we run a batch of games as well as a few synthetic benchmarks, which give a good overview on the individual differences.

A lot of case of little cash

With the N600, Cooler Master has a rather unsuspicious case in its portfolio, which costs just about 70 Euros. Sure, 70 Euro is money, but if you remove the side panels and check how much space and how many decent features you get for this kind of money, then it looks like this case features a decent price performance ratio.

AMD and NVIDIA

Yesterday we've started a new recurring series of news here on ocaholic. Today, we step up the game and add our price watch for graphics cards. In this case, we're listing AMDs as well as NVIDIAs latest graphics card, whereas we're only taking reference models to show you which GPU is in which segment. In a few weeks time we will also be able to show you graphs with the development of the prices.

A few weeks ago, we had Corsairs RM650 for review and meanwhile they've sent us their RM1000, which is based on a more powerful design. We're quite curious what this thing is capable of and if it's going to convince in our upcoming review or not. But so far we have some high-res pics for you from our photoshoot with this block.

Stay tuned and you will see some beautiful images from the best overclockers around!

Intel and AMD

This week we're going to start a new series in our news. On each of the five week days, we will show you another price watch. So far the topics will be CPUs, graphics cards, solid state drives, hard drives and memory. In each of these categories, we will monitor prices of certain products Next to showing price trends we will be able to tell you when there is the best time to buy certain products.

Next week will be all sub-zero!

Today we've had a closer look at ASRocks Fatal1ty Z87 Professional, which is a board with an astonishingly attractive price performance ratio. It could definitely be, that this board gets a price performance recommendation.

We end the week with a configuration based on socket LGA 1366 motherboard and there are also two GTX580 graphics cards in an SLI. The components in this case are not the best as far as power consumption and heat goes, but the just adds another reason to equip this setup with a powerful liquid cooling solution.

Another cool Prodigy

The week is about to end but there is always room for another nice Prodigy in our rig of the day section. Inside, this small case from BitFenix has lots of decent components, black and red sleeved cables as well as a liquid cooling system colored in red from Corsair.
