Hi

Technically it would be possible today to achieve a PSU with 96% efficiency with a Transformer and up to 98% efficiency for a Trafoless PSU. However the Price for such a device would go way up. Its clear, that such a PSU would not pay off with its energy savings. This thread is to estimate the Demand: Would you be interested and how much would you be willing to pay for a (lets say) Fanless 1500W with (95,96.5,96%) efficiency (and also superior other performances like Ripple/noise etc.)?

Well ... max 500 USD. But I kind of struggle to see an actual demand.
