Project: Black Side of the Modding #1
I'm posting here my mod, called Black Side of the Modding because it's heavily inspired to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album, which is one of my favourite album.

Here's the components:

CPU: Intel Core2Duo E8200 (atm, maybe going to swap for a 771 Xeon)

MoBo: Biostar TPower I45

RAM: Corsair Dominator DDR2 800MHz 2x 1GB

VGA: Sapphire HD5850

Storage: Crucial M500 120GB

PSU: Nilox SRM850

Here it is how it was in the beginning:

Now it begins the modding:

Then i got made some laser cutted steel pieces:

Some more accessories:

And white LEDs

This is something that was from the laser cutted steel stock i was talking about previously, it will be going in the front:

With all these fan mounts i can't mount only fans, indeed i'm going to mount a watercooling loop, an ancient Thermaltake Bigwater 745 but i'm going to renew it by changing all the fittings thanks to Monsoon who lent me some black matte fitting to go along with the mod:

For now here it is, i've got something to come from BitFenix and i must finish some electrical connection.

I've got to mention that the fan controller in this build is handmade by me!

Happy modding everyone!

Aw: Project: Black Side of the Modding #3
When I saw the first pic i thought: "uhm, let's see.." but you did a really good job!

And the white leds fits good to the optics.

Re: Project: Black Side of the Modding #4
Thanks! This is low-cost low-budget modding but if done right looks very good.
Obviously i need to do a general cable management but overall i'm there.
Unfortunately my old radiator broke one of inlets because was a very old one and poorly threated, so i must find another one but it will take longer to finish the mod. So i will partecipate to the modding contest with everything on air. Nevermind, it will look cool anyway!

I love the modding mentality in Italy. Making the most out of a small budget, that's what modding is supposed to be!

Yep, I'm really curious two what you're coming up with regarding cable management

In case of the competition: Awesome! We will point out all the details tomorrow. Today we just wanted to tease things a little bit. But it's just great that you guys are already showing up here
