I really, really don't understand why they still put the socket at that location on the motherboard ... it is so stupid when you want to install a large heatsink.

Asus layout is also "stupid" because system assemblers run into plenty of issues with that as well (Falcon NorthWest can't use any asus mini ITX in their system because of this for instance.)

Also, there are plenty of air coolers that don't fit on the impact/deluxe because of the riser board/different layout.

The world is a lot bigger than people wanting to put the biggest heatsink on a mini-itx board because sensible people have already switched to h20 solutions a long time ago, at least I did.

Sure, the soundcard like almost in the center of the board, is quite ridiculous too. Regarding the "add-in" power design card I haven't encountered issues so far and I installed quite few large coolers.

True, all-in-one watercoolers are a sensible choice, but the bring the drawback of less airflow towards the mobo and memory.

But seriously ... I don't understand why the socket hasn't been centered ... ? There would be no drawback whatsoever in doing so.

No drawback for who?

If you want a decent board with enough phases to handle z87+oc that can also be used properly by SIs, you need to follow the layout that we or gbt have. if you don't care about mounting issues, then by all means pick the layout of the impact.

It's not a perfect world, mini-ITX seriously has its restrictions and to be honest, I myself like the CPU socket a bit more in the middle, like the asus layout, but that would mean cutting on a lot of other stuff.

Was suchst du denn?

-Selektierte Chips
-2x8Pin Stromversorgung
-hochwertigere Bauteile --> stabilere Spannungen
-Standart PCB --> sprich notmale FCB können rauf

Oder seh ich das falsch?

Danke euch
