Club3D Radeon HD 7850 royalQueen #1
While testing the card I have noticed the power consumption in idle was abnormal.

I decided to check what was going on so I started to check with GPU-Z if the card was going to the lowest power state like it should.

As you can see the memory clock isn't going down as it should from 1200 MHz to 150 MHz.
Since this is not a driver issue as it works fine with the ASUS card and since the ASUS card makes use of the same PCB/Power Design (but different memory ICs, Elpida => Hynix) we recon this issue to be caused on a BIOS level.

I also monitored different voltages on the cards and here are the results:
ASUS:
vGPU: 0.82v
vMem: 1.57v
vPLL: 0.85v

Club3D:
vGPU: 0,9v
vMem: 1.57v
vPLL: 1.05v

We have already contacted the manufacturer and waiting news from them. On our side we will try to flash the card with another BIOS see if that solves the issue.

So far I have tried to flash the card with two other BIOS from cards that share the same PCB (ASUS and PowerColor for exemple) and failed. The VGA doesn't post anymore.

Flashed it back to original BIOS, I will try to reprogram it.

Weird. But I mean you really don't have to find a fix for this issue with the power consumption. Would be interesting if Club3D could do some double checking on the matter and see if they get the same results like you do.

Waiting news from their Tech guys. Might be due to the Elpida memory that other BIOSes don't work.
