You can connect the cards/blocks in parallel with the tubing. Find space on the back of your case for a pump/res combo. There is no space for it in the front. Of course, you can use them as 2 units, it doesn't need to be a combo
If you go with push or pull, that's up to you.

If you agree, we can start working on the components. Fittings, tubing, pump, res, fans, GPU blocks, all that good stuff...

I do agree a lot.
I've seen that xspc (always them) does a 'sli bridge' to cool cards in parallel. have you had any experience on this kind of products? do that simplifies the task of cooling 2 cards?
for the tubing, we are a little restricted by the rad form factor. I've checked again and we don't have 55mm but 47, this reduces the possibilities to a smaller range of rads.

for the pump and res, there is quite a lot of space both in the back and in the front. in the front we could attach the combo to the back panel, in the psu chamber we can do pretty much what we want, so what is your advice for maybe a 5,25'' bay? air 540 has the bays rotated 90° so I foresee a problem with stuff like fillports and co. at least and leakings in the worst case scenario, and, by the way I would really like the res or to stick out a lot and show herself or stay completly hidden and invisible.

a dual bay res would leave me without an ODD unit and, being my adsl as slow as a broken snail I totally need it. but there is plenty of space for some mod to install a slim unit. it would look just slick.

any advice regarding what written up here?

thank you so much

Jes

I've two good pics for you here.

On the first pic you see how much space you have on the backside of the mobo tray, when hardware is actually in the case.

On the second pic you see how much space you have on the front side of the mobo tray, when there is a 360mm rad and the CPU being cooled. The pump is below the VGA. If you have two VGA, the space underneath the second VGA will be tight for a pump and furthermore, it won't look nice and tidy if you have the pump on the front side of the mobo tray.

I totally have to do some cable managment. my config is not event close to the clean look of the one you posted, at least in the back but anyways I'll have to redo the whole computer installing all the stuff.

Yes, this is ugly. I did it in quite a hurry But I think it shows the proportions quite well.

This is the rad arrangement I would suggest.

Pls don't confuse the guy. We're not talking about overkill watercooling here. This is gonna be a long one....
Jestar, do you have any experience regarding watercooling? Do you get the picture how it works? So we know where to start. xD

We've already come to the conclusion, that there is gonna be a single 360 in the front ~40mm thick, pump and res are gonna be in the back, there is going to be a bridge mounted to the two graphic card blocks, loop order.

We still don't know, the tubing, fittings, adapter fittings (45° and 90°), which res and pump (I wouldn't go with a bay one, I would rather go with a res and pump combo, there's less trouble about mounting and everything), what GPU blocks and bridge (sticking to EKWB myself), fans (I would go with noctuas). Everything I said here is up to you to decide, we'll help you go through it.

I'm sorry if I didn't answer all your questions. There's just too much to discuss.

Btw, can you show us a picture of your system? A good one, so we can see the insides. Thanks!

@Jestar
Maybe you edit the first post of this thread to make listings what has already been defined. This would very much help to keep this thread organized

Re: introduction to destruction: watercooling 2 gtx 690 #30
updated the first post with what has been decided up now.

I would really like a slick look more than a flashing one, with some touches of light and colour.

no coloured cooling fluid, so black tubing, res in the back, maybe a big one and huge tubing to withstand the load that 2 gtx 690 will put on the system.

I have no experience with custom water loops
