[Worklog] BitFenix Prodigy Modding for Ayren
#1
So ... I think it's time to start a new thread. I decided, to build the PC for Ayren here in the forum for this purpose I've been thinking about something special. Since the guy is gamer and he really, really, really enjoys watching StarCraft matches, I thought to make a small SCII mod.
I guess you all know meanwhile, that I quite like the BitFenix Prodigy case and apparently it looks like Ayren likes it too once he saw it in action here in our office. Ok then, but what is going to happen? Well Ayren is a gamer and he wanted a powerful system and he found out, that it would be awesome if the system was portable! So yeah, the conclusion was simple: Prodigy
Well ... building gaming system based on a Prodigy case is one thing. The other thing is make it look unique. For that purpose I suggested to him that we may place the StarCraft II logo on the right side panel of the case. What I will do is, I'm going to do a drill mod and behind the holes I will place either CCFL's or bright LED strips. I will see what's more suitable.
For now the Hardware has been ordered. That you get an overview aobut the precious stuff inside, check out the following list:
ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe
Intel Core i7-3770K
Corsair Vengeance LP 16 GB Blue
Corsair H100i
Samsung PM840 Pro 256 GB[
3 TB HDD
ASUS GTX 670 DCII --> going to be overclocked to scare the shit out of the 680
Seasonic G-Series 650 Watt 80Plus Gold
BluRay Player
BitFenix Prodigy
Well then ... here are two pics, one from the case and the other from the SCII logo, which serves as a template for the drill mod.
