Available in two years

TechPowerUp has come across a few interesting slides on the Spanish website Informatica Cero. One of them actually shows a CPU roadmap for AMD's next generation of Zen processors. Pinnacle Ridge, which is the successor's code name, is supposed to be manufactured using 12nm technology instead of the current 14nm node.

Up to 165 Hz refresh rate

ASUS has updated their gaming monitor lineup with a new curved display which goes by the name Swift PG27VQ. This monitor sports a 27-inch panel with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. Meanwhile ASUS should also release the ROG Swift PG27UQ monitor that has been delayed several times.

DDR4 rainbow unicorns from Corsair

Corsair has updated their Vengeance DDR4 memory lineup with modules that come with a heatspreader kept in white. The new series includes seven models with frequencies ranging from DDR4-3000 to DDR4-3600. Apart from that the kits are available in different capacities, where the smallest is a 2 x 8GB kit and it goes all the way up to 8 x 16GB.

HRC

Today we have another build from HRC for you. In the past we’ve shared several of his builds and as you might know they always look exceptionally good. Like every day we're showing you a very nice build or from one of our modder friends. As always we will show you the nicest pictures of the build and if possible also the specifications here in the news and the full album with all pictures can be found in our Case Mod Gallery.

Nine models

Intel's Z370 platform is right around the corner and during the upcoming weeks vendors might launch quite a few new products. Thanks to Videocardz, we can already have a glance at MSI's Z370 series of motherboards. So far the lineup includes nine models but we believe that we will see more motherboards, such as a mini-ITX board a Titanium version.

10 days before NDA ends

Since we’re getting closer to the launch of the Intel’s Coffee Lake processors more and more leaks are making it through. Meanwhile expreview.com has jumped the gun testing an upcoming Intel Core i7-8700K processor on an Intel Z370 series motherboard with 4 x 8GB of DDR4-2400 memory in place.

With ASUS ROG Certification

GEIL is updating their RGB EVO X memory lineup. Memory modules were basically the very last components lacking support for RGB lighting. The reason for that was that a solution had to be found to control the sticks over the SMBus. Nevertheless GEIL has chosen a different approach, using a 4-pin RGB connector, which means the memory has to wired to the motherboard.

Called Aorus GTX 1080 Gaming Box

External graphics card docks are not that common, yet there are many reasons why this could change. During this year’s Computex, Gigabyte has shown their Aorus GTX 1070 Gaming Box and it looks like one of the best solutions so far. The box not only comes pre-packed with an ITX-sized GTX 1070 it's also one of the smallest external GPU cases out there. Today the company is ready to announce a more powerful model based on GTX 1080 graphics cards.

Eleven models from Gigabyte

With the launch of Coffee Lake, Intel will finally bring their first six-cores and twelve-threads processors to the mainstream market. Since the new series of CPUs require a new chipset, motherboard vendors will release several "new" models. The motherboards are quite similar to the previous generation based on the Z270 chipset, overall the differences are more about design and LEDs.

With four EVGA GTX 1080 Ti Kingpin Edition cards

K|ngp|n has had another go with his K|ngp|n Edition GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards and this time he's been demolishing the former record in 3DMark Time Spy and Fire Strike. Thanks to a rather substantial overclock on the Intel Core i9-7980XE he's been able to achieve over 69 fps in the CPU score of the Time Spy benchmark.

Improved design

Thanks to yet another leak on Videocardz, there are more details on upcoming MSI Z370 motherboards. This time we will have a look to the Z370I Gaming Pro Carbon AC which looks a bit different to the Z270I Gaming Pro Carbon AC. According to latest rumors, Intel is planning to release their new Coffee Lake series of CPUs alongside the Z370 chipset during the next few weeks.

Optimized for AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors

G.Skill has announced their TridentZ RGB memory kit, which has been designed and tested in combination with AMD's Ryzen Threadripper processors. When a new CPU architecture hits the market memory vendors usually conduct extensive stability tests before launching their kits and G.Skill is certainly no exception in that regard.

Official support for Project Cars 2 and WARHAMMER II

NVIDIA and AMD appear to have released a new driver at the same day and the release notes appear rather similar. Therefore also NVIDIA now supports the new games Project Cars 2 and Total War: WARHAMMER II. Apart from that there are a few more titles on the support list as well as some performance improvements.

Added support and issues fixed

AMD has released the latest update to their Radeon GPU drivers, the Crimson ReLive Edition 17.9.2. Just a few days after the last WHQL driver has been launched, this new version goes online. As always support for new games has been added and issues have been fixed.

First Core i3 on HEDT

The acclaimed launch date of Coffee Lake based CPUs is somewhen next month, however Intel is also working on adding new Kaby Lake-X processors to their line-up. According to a rumor on Videocardz, Intel might release the first dual-core Core i3, which is compatible with X299 motherboards. The i3-7360X is basically the same CPU as the i3-7350K but for Intel’s HEDT platform.

Triple-fan cooler

It looks like MSI is working on a new Gaming X card, which makes use of a triple-fan cooler. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X Trio features a custom PCB and a custom cooler. This model should provide very good cooling performance. Apart from that there should be a new lighting system below the plastic shroud.

The ROG STRIX X299-E but upgraded

The ASUS ROG STRIX X299-XE Gaming is another Intel X299 motherboard that should help filling in gaps in the ASUS X299 lineup. The name of this particular board already suggests that’s it’s been designed with the upcoming Intel Core i9-7980XE processor in mind. Therefore it looks like ASUS updated/reworked the CPU VRM heatsink, making use of a heavier block. This way the VRMs should not cause thermal throttling issues. Besides that, the motherboard is 99% identical to the X299-E.

Now with 12GHz GDDR5X memory

EVGA has now shown another GTX 1080 Ti, which makes use of the capable FTW3 triple fan cooler. The so called FTW3 Elite graphics card has been equipped with faster memory to make the card even quicker compared to the the "standard" FTW3 graphics card.

Leaked on Reddit

Although we are still waiting for a mini-ITX AMD motherboard from ASUS, the company is already working on a model with this form factor for their upcoming Intel Coffee Lake processors. The upcoming ROG STRIX Z370I Gaming looks almost identical to its Z270 counterpart.
