Conclusion

General   + -
The single-GPU flagship from Asus convices with its features which aim at overclockers and pc-enthusiasts. With the Matrix Asus developed a high-end graphics card which is equipped with a non reference eight plus two phase power design. Nearly every single piece isn't standard and has been optimized by Asus.   - 10 + 2 phases
- Very silent

Delivery   + -
The matrix also comes packed in a high quality box with a lot of accessories. Therefore you get a DVI-to-HDMI, a DVI-to-D-Sub, a S-Video-to-YUV adaptor as well as a six pin power adaptor. Buying an Asus Matrix GTX 285 you definitely get everything you need to create whatever system you'd want to. What we missed, unfortunately, was a game added to the box.   - Connectors

- No game in delivery

Performance   + -
On average the Matrix is about five percent faster than a standard GTX 285 using the NVIDIA reference design. The reason for the five percent performance increase are the higher frequencies.

Overclocking   + -
At this point the Matrix GTX 285 really feels home. If you're an overclocker you'll definitely enjoy all the different settings you can choose from. Using all of them we were able to reach 760 MHz GPU clock and 1420 MHz memory clock in Aquamark3. Other reference are can't even reach 700 MHz. Interesting is also the possibility to not only increase the GPU voltage you can also play with the memory voltage and timings.   - Overclocking

Recommendation   + -
This well equipped GTX 285 we recommend to overclockers and PC-enthusiasts. With all the different features they might have a lot of fun optimizing the card for their needs.   - PC-Enthusiasts
- Overclockers
