The ASUS ENGTX470 is based on NVIDIA's latest Fermi architecture. Furthermore this card has been manufactured using the reference design. The GPU therefore is clocked with 607 MHz and the 1'280 MByte GDDR5 memory are being driven at 1'676 MHz.

These days the GF100 GPU is the most complex piece of silicium out there. 3.2 billion transistors are there to power the latest NVIDIA based cards. To do a small comparison: this is 2.7 times as much transistors as a Intel Core i7 980X CPU has. Using SLI it is also possible to get the graphics power from up to three cards at the same time. The GTX470 als supports DirectX 11, ShaderModel 5.0, OpenGL 2.0, CUDA as well as NVIDA PhysX.
