For anyone, like enthusiast overclockers or reviewers... really any people who need to regularly and quickly change components DimasTech have created a selection of "test benches". Not much is able to be changed within an enclosure in order to make it innovative. Generic functionality such as more fans, a different design, and flashier lights seem to be added with the creation of every new case released. Thermaltake, however, has noticed this trend, and has opted to go away from the norm by including "the world's first SideClick EasySwap design" within their latest case, the Thermaltake Armor A60 (VM20001W2Z). Join Benchmark Reviews as we review Thermaltake's latest case.

I can remember the lead-sleds that rolled with a curb weight similar to moving vans, and it reminds me of modern-day desktop computer cases. Originally, giant-sized computer cases painted in beige were once the de facto standard for system builders wanting to construct their own IBM clone personal computer from separate components. I believed this horrible trend would phase itself out around the turn of the century, but when Y2K came and went and there was still significant demand for large full-tower cases I knew something was wrong. The more things change in this industry, the more they seem to remain the same. Now more than ten years later, we're still building our PCs with the same heft as an Oldsmobile Toronado.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past several months, you’ve no doubt seen this chassis online or perhaps even at your local hardware retailer or LAN party (although I pity the person responsible for lugging this heavyweight anywhere outside of their house). Cooler Master showcased what they call the Ultra Tower at CES and it goes without saying that it was the most impressive computer case I saw during my week in Las Vegas. We've been anxious to get this chassis on the test bench to see if it lives up to the hype.

In this day and age, technology and computers consume our lives. Its only natural that with time, people will realize that the puny, limited DVR (digital video recorder) that the Cable Company makes you pay for is a waste of space and money, and the longer you have it the more of a waste of money it becomes. With the ability to surf the web, check your email, watch HD movies, record television, and much more, the real question is: “Why wouldn’t you get a HTPC?”
