With the Phantom 530, NZXT has taken the distinctive Phantom styling and raised it to a new level with incredible refinement. Today I have something very special in the office, the NZXT Phantom has always been a popular choice for system builders, PC gamers and general enthusiasts, but while I mean this is the nicest possible way, it's getting a bit old these days and it was time for something new. To put it another way, the Phantom 530 is expensive, not every PC owner has over £100 to spend on a case, so when you get into this kind of budget your going to want nothing, but the best in terms of quality, features and performance, nothing else will do and we'll be looking for all those aspects today.
I am of course hopeful that this chassis will do well, the original Phantom is still fantastic even today and NZXT have released an absolutely amazing range of cases in recent years that continue to innovate and impress both myself and fans of the NZXT brand, so let's get straight to it and see just what NZXT have to offer with their latest high-end chassis design.
The NZXT Phantom 530 Case is a full tower so it has lots of space, looks great, plenty of drive bays, cable management, fits long video cards/PSUs, 30W fan controller, I/O LEDs, USB3 and more. They've done a fantastic job of improving on the original Phantom Case.

Just in case you have been away from the computing scene for over a year, we will give you a short breakdown of the success of the legendary NZXT Phantom. Released 12 months ago, the Phantom was one of the first full tower cases to inspire a new design trend. Gone are the days of a full tower case being big, ugly and a cumbersome chunk of metal. The unique design and bold colour scheme were what made the Phantom different from anything we had previously encountered. As we all know though, a striking appearance and aesthetically pleasing design are nothing if the performance isn’t up to scratch. Thankfully, NZXT’s Phantom excelled in terms of expandability, cooling performance, internal clearance, cable management and ease of use. It is available for around £110 and offers almost everything an enthusiast could ask for, so it is no surprise that it has won a plethora of awards and accolades including our own eTeknix gold award.
Let's be real honest here. In the realm in which I live, as a reviewer, there is a level of trust that develops as you work with companies over the years. As a guy that is in the position to recommend things to others, I take that aspect seriously. When I put my "seal of approval" on it, I mean it! I don't see any reason to waver in how to explain it, or any issues bringing failures to the forefront when said failures do pass through my hands, just ask Gelid why I haven't heard from them since I failed their GPU cooler. That is an extreme example of my approach with companies and their products. Getting back to my original point, when dealing with various manufactures, a report and a trust is built as you see they are making great strides to improve things, or on the flip side, those that don't show any initiative, I'd rather not bring that material to your attention.
The Phantom 410 leads the charge by offering color combinations from Black, Red, Gun Metal, Pink and White. Several of these colors are only offered in limited edition runs allowing for even more variety in color and accent trims. Today we will be looking at a white Phantom 410 with blue accent coloring.
