The Corsair Carbide 100R Silent Edition is a Mid-Tower chassis that is targeted at those of us looking for a simple, yet quiet design.
Corsair is one of the most recognizable names in the chassis industry, having many of the most popular chassis’ designs across many different price ranges. They’ve dazzled us with their flagship products such at gargantuan Obsidian 900D and the very funky Carbide 780T, but today I’ll be looking at something a lot further down the range; the budget-friendly 100R Silent. The new chassis isn’t designed to blow you away with extreme performance, but it has been designed to offer you a neat and tidy product, with an affordable price tag to match, so it’ll be interesting to see just how much you get for your money.
The 200R is the latest addition to Corsair's Carbide series of cases, and it is targeted to users who don't want to spend a lot of money on a case but still want to take home a good-quality product with a decent set of features. Let's see if this case fulfills its goals.

The 300R is the latest mid-tower case within Corsair's Carbide series, which is the entry-level case series from this manufacturer. Corsair realise that not everyone needs, or can afford, a high end chassis and for that reason they have been releasing various models over the past couple of years which target price points below the Obsidian 800D. Corsair has targeted with their Carbide chassis series a brand new range of end users. Those that still prefer a decent quality build, but at an affordable price/performance ratio. We already saw the 400 and 500R versions on the test bench. Today we introduce Corsair's latest offering the 300R. Still a Midi Tower case with adequate cooling. But the main focus is the price tag. Corsair wants to position this 300R versus all the budget cases out there. And I must say the price turned out to be very competitive, retailing around plus minus 65 euros. We at TechwareLabs have always been a big fan of the Sleeper: a Car or Computer case that seems stock but under the hood hides some serious muscle. So when we laid our hands on the Corsair Carbide 300R Mid-Tower Chassis we excited to put it through the labs.
At first glance, I really liked the simple appearance of the Corsair Carbide 300R case. The sleek flat black finish is always a winner in my books. On the front, Corsair added some extra design elements which were very welcome. These elements included things like the hex screw heads and the recessed mesh in front of the intake fan. The location of the I/O connectors, at the very top of the face, were definitely placed properly for those who place their computer on the ground or low...
