Cases
Last year Cooler Master launched a new model in their Silencio range, the 652, designed to offer low noise operation with plenty of flexibility in terms of component choice. Recently Cooler Master announced a refresh of the 652, the 652S which changes the fan configuration for even quieter operation. Today we take a look at that very case, along with Cooler Masters Seidon 120v cooler.

Hot off the back of our Steelseries competition, we’ve teamed up with the guys over at Cooler Master to give you the chance to win some more hardware. Up for grabs today we have the Silencio 550 case, the GX 550w PSU and the Storm Sentinal gaming mouse.

Cooler Master Sileo 500 is a mid-tower case with aluminum front panel and lots of noise-reduction pads that can optionally come with a 500 W power supply already installed.
Cases
The Cooler Master Sileo 500 at first glance seems like your basic no frills steel case. It’s the first case I have seen in a long time that didn’t have side windows, or side vents, or anything of the sort. Its simplicity is almost a thing of beauty. A nice flat black paintjob coupled with nice clean lines give this case a modernized feel of a classic case design.
Cases
If, as they say, silence is golden, then Cooler Master chose the wrong color for their Sileo 500 computer case. As this review shows, the Sileo is clearly up to the task of keeping even the most demanding hardware comfortably cool, and doing it at near silence. After playing with this chassis for a week or so, I can assure you it would be very easy to build a silent machine using this chassis and some carefully chosen mainstream hardware.
Cases
One thought springs to mind. Is this case too budget? It's for sale well under a hundred bucks, which might mean that there are too many cut corners, or maybe that instead of some kind of NASA-developed space quiet foam, they're using leftover packing materials. Maybe the steel's only for show, and the case is made out of plastic with a metal veneer (Cooler Master, I know you did this that one time, you cheeky channel partner, case, and cooling company). Well, no matter what, it's moot if it's sturdy, pretty, and above all, quiet.

Boasting sound-dampening foam, anti-vibration HDD mounts, and two silent-running 800RPM 120mm fans, the Sileo 500 is an interesting break from Cooler Master's usual chassis design. A long-time manufacturer of high-end gaming cases, it appears Cooler Master is now adding silent computing to their arsenal. Benchmark Review will take a closer look at the RC-500-KKR3-GP model and finds out if the Sileo 500 worthy of the name and your money.
Cases
In working with the Cooler Master Sileo 500, I was utterly blown away by how well the sound dampening material works. Being the defining feature of this case, I can attest to the fact that the sound dampening material really sets this case apart from other cases I have worked with. In terms of other features, the Sileo 500 is your typical mid-tower case. With a minimalistic design, its elegance will appeal to everyone. The tool-less drive bays, simple hard drive mounts and tool-less expansion slots are great and make installation very quick and easy.
Cases
Cooler Master cases have garnered a well-earned reputation for quality and design innovation. Their Cosmos and H.A.F. series have won praise from enthusiasts around the world, and their "Storm" series of cases has shown that "budget" doesn't have to mean "cheap". The Cooler Master Storm Enforcer is the newest member of the Storm line, bringing internal USB 3.0 support and a configurable interior to the game. Benchmark Reviews checks out this new chassis in this review.
