We were already fans of the Zalman 9 Plus, an affordable chassis that also cools well. That one lacked USB 3.0 and wasn't the most quiet of chassis, however. The Zalman Z11 Plus is a lot bigger, cools better, is quieter, includes USB 3.0, and is only slightly more expensive than the Z9.
Some of the first reviews I wrote for Benchmark Reviews were for NZXT cases. Most of these were lower-end cases priced at $75 and under. Although the cases were inexpensive, I was impressed with both the quality of construction and the thought put into their design. Since then, NZXT has moved upmarket, starting with their original Phantom case, which has now become a series of its own. Just introduced is the new Phantom 630 case, the little brother of the Phantom 820 we've seen previously. At an MSRP of $179.99, this is a not an inexpensive case, so let's see if it's worth the money...

The Xigmatek Talon got our attention with its original design. The build quality is good, with a quality finish. We were very disappointed by the cooling performance, it's worse than the cheaper Cooler Master CM690 II Advanced and every single other chassis we compared it to in this test. That doesn't mean the Talon is a bad chassis, its foundation is actually very good. You do need to consider getting more or better fans for it, especially if you won't be using liquid cooling.

A few days ago while i was out with a some colleagues one of them pointed out to me that we haven't really focused in PC case reviews, at least not as much as we should have based on the how many get released per year. Well i have to admit that i was left quite puzzled since in just 11 months of online presence we've reviewed a grand total of 16 PC cases which at least for me is not a very small number especially since it's not our only focus group.
