Sharkoon is a company that I have yet to have the opportunity to look at any products from. I have seen the name and caught the news release for the latest submissions to our labs. This will be a three part series of reviews, as all three of the latest submissions of cases play off each other designs, but offer a fully customizable budget entry and a more midrange offering with a couple of fans supplied . Lastly, there will be a more top end model with Aluminum as the big treat.

I mentioned when we looked at the Rebel mid tower from Sharkoon that it was part of a trio of submissions to TweakTown. The Rebel was built with economy in mind and a fully customizable cooling solution, as there were no fans included. The Economy version could be had for around 60 USD or 45.99 Euros. At that time, I found the near $60 pricing to be a little steep for what was, or rather, what wasn’t included in the Rebel.
The Sharkoon Fireglider is the most tragically whimsical name I’ve ever heard a mouse being given. When your friends ask you, “So, what mouse are you using?”, the answer “Sharkoon Fireglider” is not one you can give with a straight face. Don’t bring up its slogan either, “Procure the best advantage possible with the SHARKOON FireGlider!” That’s right, “procure” it.

Since you're an Incredibly Cheap Bastard, then not just any old inexpensive case will do: you have to have a really cool-looking case without spending any major coin. This case, the Sentey Optimus Plus, features a large side panel window instead of fan mounts. Additional features include a fan controller, filtered intakes, a dedicated cooling fan for hard drives, and a SD card reader. These features come at an additional premium though when compared to other cases in the same price range. We have another offering from Sentey and their “Extreme Division” line of cases today. This time we are going to take a look at their GS-6000 Optimus mid-tower case. Previously we looked at the Arvina GS-6400 which came away with top honors. With the Optimus, Sentey looks to be going for a budget version of the Arvina in the mid-tower size. The Optimus comes in two varieties, the GS-6000 which is all black and the GS-6000R with red highlights; we have the former on hand today.
Okay, I’ll have to admit it. Sentey’s Optimus GS-6000 case is one of the best budget cases out there. First of all, it looks great. The glossy black finish makes it look like a much more expensive case. Yeah, it’s a fingerprint magnet, but that’s the price you pay for such an elegant finish. Combine this with all the other visual elements and you have a very striking package that will garner a lot of envious stares.
