The Silverstone Precision PS08 is a case targeted to microATX motherboards, also supporting the Micro-ITX and Micro-DTX formats. It is bigger than traditional small form factor (SFF) cases, such as the Sugo series models from the same manufacturer.

Lately there has been a noticeable increase in the number of PC chassis on the market with relatively new brands like Corsair and Bitfenix expanding their ranges rapidly to cater for a wider range of consumers. Silverstone has been established in the PC case market much longer, though, and already has a large range of cases available.

Life progression is an inevitable journey -- one of "two roads diverged in a yellow wood", as Robert Frost would have said. As we all grow older, we generally become more independent, and as such, we buy our own cars, our own clothes, and food for sustaining life. But one of the biggest and single most expensive thing we spend money on is typically some sort of shelter, whether it is a house, apartment, or condominium. In most cases, the younger generation as well as some of the experienced working class these days would prefer a more modern and clean look to a purchased shelter. We expect the quality for the amount that we spend. Now, I don't know about you, but my taste of technology is leaning more and more towards the clean and good looking products, just like a good looking house with a modern interior interpretation. In some cases, this means more money is coming out of my bank account. However, to be honest with you, I don't mind spending a little bit less on certain used products in this area, provided that the product is still in decent and acceptable conditions. In today's case (No pun intended), we have a simple and clean looking chassis from SilverStone -- namely, the Precision PS07. At first glance, it exhibits a clean appearance, but certainly does not look like a fridge. Whether you like this look or not is really up to your personal preference, but what I can tell you is that this little beast can pack quite a bit of quality features for your computer. So if you're ready to find out, keep your eyes peeled!

The new Silverstone Precision PS07 is a case targeted to microATX motherboards, also supporting the Micro-ITX and Micro-DTX formats. It is bigger than traditional small form factor (SFF) cases, such as the Sugo series models from the same manufacturer (see the Sugo SG05, Sugo SG06, and Sugo SG07 reviews). In fact, the Precision PS07 has similar size and features as the Temjin TJ08-E. Let's compare them.

SilverStone wanted to push the thermal performance envelop of their popular Precision case series to next level, so they took their award-winning 180mm Air Penetrator fan (AP181) and put it into the PS06 tower chassis. With the AP181 and an included silent 120mm fan, the PS06 is capable of reaching the cooling levels usually reserved for chassis with twice the cost. Legit Reviews takes a closer look at this case today to see if it is worth the asking price!

The Precision PS06 is the latest mid-tower case from SilverStone, coming with features usually only found on more expensive models, such as eight expansion slots and a hard drive/SSD docking bay. Let's see if it is a good buy.

Thinking back to the last chassis we looked at from SilverStone's Precision series, I am bringing up images of a case shaped sort of like an Antec 900, but with a slight bulge in the front bezel, while everything was black, inside and out. There was ample wire management, good drive bays that functioned well and decent cooling. Spiking my interest, I just went back to the images and quite frankly, the PS05 was stylish, yet plain enough to fit just about everyone. Change is afoot for those who appreciated the Precision series chassis in the past.

In the past few weeks here at APH Networks, there has been quite a few articles on SilverStone products. Many users who have followed along would have noticed we had gone through two separate articles on SilverStone products alone over the past month or so. Today, we are finally on our the last of our trio, and plan to go out with a bang. (Not literally. We're not blowing anything up.) We chose the biggest object to review out of the three, just to give it the incremental quality -- or at least quantity -- vibe. SilverStone is well known for their excellence in the computing field, with products ranging from fans such as the SilverStone Air Penetrator SST-AP121-L, power supplies such as the SilverStone Strider Gold ST75F-G 750W, as well as cases such as the Precision PS05 we are reviewing today. Just imagine how many articles we could go through in a year. Anywho, for our final part of the SilverStone trio of articles, we chose to end it off with a case. The SilverStone Precision PS05 is the newest revision of the Precision series. Although it is the value line for SilverStone, even the value series promises "thoughtful details from high-end chassis designs", according to the manufacturer. That is one bold statement to make for such a product in its intended market, but we trust SilverStone knows what they are talking about, since they are known for making excellent stuff in this area. So let us dive right into this review, and see how well this case implements "details from high-end chassis designs".
