DTX Format, an.

The CM Storm Scout II Advanced is a mid-tower chassis that is part of Cooler Master’s gaming line. The CM Storm Scout II Advanced case further improves upon the initial Scout II offering with the addition of two more intake fans, an extra pair of tool-free HDD rails and one more SSD mounting bracket. Aside from the midnight black and gunmetal gray color versions of the initial Scout II case, the advanced version will also be available in a “ghost white” version, outfitted with white LED fans instead of red LED. While the CM Storm Scout II Advanced carries the same retail price of $99.99 as the original Scout II, the ghost white version will be available for $109.99 and all versions carry a two-year warranty.

The Silverstone Redline RL04 is one chassis choice on the market and has a mid-tower form factor. The Silverstone RL04 features a plastic and mesh front panel with SECC steel used from the main body of the case. They have priced this to be budget friendly but have some of the aggressive styling that is expected from a higher priced case. The front panel supports four 5.25” drive bays and has two USB 3.0 ports, a microphone jack, and headphone jack. Cooling is designed to use positive pressure with a single 120mm fan as intake in the front of the case. Removable dust filters are provided for both the bottom PSU vent and the top vents.

Pari gagnant ?

Welcome to another Case Mod Friday showcase! This week we have Derrick Ubbink’s Smokey Green Giant build. Here is what he had to say about it: The inspiration for this build comes from the frustration of dealing with small cases while water cooling. I set out to find a case that was simply huge and didn’t have terrible outer aesthetics. I found the Fulmo GT met these requirements so quickly ordered one and set to work gutting it and making it to my liking. In the end I went with a dual loop water cooled setup, one for CPU the other GPU, each cooled by a single 420mm Alphacool radiator. And what started out as a TRI-SLI 3GB GTX 580 rig quickly became QUAD-SLI 580s and finally I went for a pair of GTX Titans. I’m super happy with the results and will just be enjoying it for awhile!
