Welcome to another Case Mod Friday showcase! This week we have Derrick Ubbink’s Smokey Green Giant build. Here is what he had to say about it: The inspiration for this build comes from the frustration of dealing with small cases while water cooling. I set out to find a case that was simply huge and didn’t have terrible outer aesthetics. I found the Fulmo GT met these requirements so quickly ordered one and set to work gutting it and making it to my liking. In the end I went with a dual loop water cooled setup, one for CPU the other GPU, each cooled by a single 420mm Alphacool radiator. And what started out as a TRI-SLI 3GB GTX 580 rig quickly became QUAD-SLI 580s and finally I went for a pair of GTX Titans. I’m super happy with the results and will just be enjoying it for awhile!

Today I will be taking a look at the F7C Evo M-ITX chassis from Streacom, another entry to the competitive world of HTPC chassis and a part of the market that has seen something of a revival in the last couple of years with the rise in high performance M-ITX motherboards.
I'll admit, until I saw this chassis I had never even heard of Streacom, but they're a relatively new company that formed in 2010 so it's understandable that they're still finding a name for them selves in some markets.
"To design, engineer, manufacture and supply a range of computer products and accessories that push the boundaries of form, function, quality and value." - Streacom
They've already established a solid product range that features active and passively cooled chassis, valve amplifiers and home entertainment solutions to name but a few, and Streacom seem to have a good team behind them from around the world and various parts of the industry that should favour them well in terms of an end product.
Priced at around £75 for the chassis, it's not exactly cheap but it's not terribly expensive either and there is a high demand in the HTPC product for products that have a premium edge about them, given that the "under the TV" spot is extreme important in many people's home cinema setup, it's often worth the extra investment to get something that looks good. New entrants to this Streacom range will however need to make a further investment into the Nano 150 PSU that basically acts like an external PSU, which at £77 is a little expensive, but not overly so for a decent quality PSU. So for the purpose of this review I'm going to consider this a combined setup of PSU and Chassis at a total cost of around £150.00.

If you research a little about Fractal Design, you'll discover that "Design" in their name is not an accident. They've set out to "provide products with an extraordinary design level" using a "less-is-more" philosophy. With that in mind they've made some revisions to their Arc Midi enclosure, resulting in the new Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 computer case. The original was praised for its ability to accommodate radiators and other water cooling components in a mid-tower enclosure. Benchmark Reviews has the chance today to take a closer look at the revisions made to the Fractal Design Arc Midi. How does this case measure up to the competition? Read on to find out...

The Thermaltake Armor Revo Gene is a mid-tower case in targeted at mainstream users. Thermaltake designed the Armor Revo Gene with aggressive styling, including aluminum wings on the front bezel, large feet to raise it off the ground, and LED logo in the top front with a breathing effect. The Revo Gene supports up to four 5.25” external devices, one external 3.5” drive, and five internal 3.5” or 2.5” devices. The top of the case also has a 3.5” or 2.5” hard drive dock for quickly accessing a bare hard drive. The cooling system is robust and includes a front 200mm fan, rear 120mm fan, and top 200mm. There are also optional fan mounting locations on the side for a 200mm fan and bottom for a 120mm fan. The headset holder on the side of the case is one more feature making the Revo Gene ready for battle.

Today we have something very special in the office, the latest entry to the already well stocked flagship range of NZXT chassis. The H630 is set to take a place on the podium of desirable chassis and will be going along side products such as the Phantom 630, and the Switch 810, both of which rightly earned our eTeknix Editors Choice Award.
NZXT has long been one of my favourite chassis manufacturers, and I know I'm not alone on this one either, they have a loyal and enthusiast community around their brand and their products, you don't have to look far on forums and tech websites to see some incredibly powerful and customised gaming rigs, but you'll notice a large chunk of them will be fitted into an NZXT chassis.
The Phantom range is loud an in many ways obnoxious with it's flashy lighting, huge panels, big windows and robust cooling systems, it's also pretty expensive too with models such as the Phantom 820 still costing around £200, yikes! Yet it is focused on the extreme performance end of the market. Then we have the Switch range, which offers many of the features of the Phantom range, but in a more refined and sleeker design, yet its still quite loud in terms of design and it's main focus is performance and style, with a price tag of around £140 it's also quite expensive, especially compared to rival brands premium models. So where does the H620 fit in?
"Beautifully architected, the new H630 was engineered for one simple purpose: provide enthusiasts the ability to build the highest performing systems while remaining audibly invisible."
There are two words that often don't go together in the PC market, extreme performance and silence, it's hard to get the maximum level of performance from your hardware without something (relatively) noisy to keep it cool, be that a fan, a radiator or both, either way, cooling is very important.
"Ushering in a new era of silent, high performance systems, the NZXT H630 leads the industry with a high-density sound dampening design that doesn’t impede its cooling capabilities. Fully enclosed in steel and combined with an intelligent vent design to minimize intake noise, the H630 offers a sleek, jaw-dropping design that will leave you and your components speechless."
With a price tag of around £120, the promise of high end component compatibility, extreme cooling and all in a minimalist sound proofed chassis, NZXT could be about to embark on something very special indeed, so lets dive in and see just what it has to offer.

Welcome to another Case Mod Friday showcase! This week we have Anthony Hick's Amethyst build. He has actually sent us shots of his entire setup! Here is what he has to say about his build: My first build, designed for gaming. Essentially started out as a budget build, but I've been adding upgrades as I am able to afford them.
