Fractal Design is a Swedish manufacturer, and their products are easy to find in the US. The Core 3000 is a mid-tower case that costs USD 65. Let's see if it is a good pick.

Many manufacturers follow a generic trend when releasing a new computer case, but Cooler Master have caused quite a stir with the recent release of their Storm trooper chassis. Kitguru Lite takes a look at the chassis that looks custom made for Darth Vaders next gaming rig. Is the force really with Cooler Master?

If you haven’t already heard of the insanely popular NZXT Phantom, then we have to query where you have been for the past year! Just in case you have been away from the computing scene for over a year, we will give you a short breakdown of the success of the legendary NZXT Phantom. Released 12 months ago, the Phantom was one of the first full tower cases to inspire a new design trend. Gone are the days of a full tower case being big, ugly and a cumbersome chunk of metal. The unique design and bold colour scheme were what made the Phantom different from anything we had previously encountered. As we all know though, a striking appearance and aesthetically pleasing design are nothing if the performance isn’t up to scratch. Thankfully, NZXT’s Phantom excelled in terms of expandability, cooling performance, internal clearance, cable management and ease of use. It is available for around £110 and offers almost everything an enthusiast could ask for, so it is no surprise that it has won a plethora of awards and accolades including our own eTeknix gold award.

Today Cooler Master return to the Cosmos family with the launch of the Cosmos 2. This ultra tower chassis features aspects which remind us of the original Cosmos from 2007 but Cooler Master have brought it right up to date with more advanced features and an evolved design. We have one on our test bench so let's see what the case has to offer.

On top of an improved Touch panel of this chassis, we are also moving up in chassis classes. Here we go from the mid-tower design of the Touch 320, skip right over full towers, and deliver a Super Tower chassis! The optical bays stay tool-less, but this time there is a whole new look at HDD mounting. Similar to what I have seen in press releases from Lian Li, Xclio is the first to deliver such an implementation to me. This puts Xclio in the lead for not only the Touch panel, but now they are the first to bring me this! Xclio really appears to be stepping up the game from the chassis I remember getting even a year ago. I really like to see this sort of progress, even if it isn't for everyone, it shows there are some people with really good ideas and concepts and that Xclio isn't afraid to stand out and deliver new things.

At CES 2012, NZXT launched a new full tower case they've dubbed the Switch 810. NZXT is calling this a "hybrid" tower design, suitable for extreme air cooling or complex liquid cooling setups, and offering users a choice between maximum airflow or noise reduction. With up to ten 120/140mm fans, top 360/420mm and bottom 140/240mm radiator support, pivoting internal fan mounts and removable dust filters, NZXT is definitely taking the cooling aspect of this case seriously.
