The Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 has many features to make it worth taking a look at. The cable routing and cooling options alone are hard to beat in a case this size. The Arc Midi R2 can be found at Amazon for $99.99 shipped which places it in the higher tier of cases for the mid sized case category. There are many cheaper alternatives, but not many will offer...

The Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 is a mid-tower case which is designed to provide maximum airflow across your mainboard components. The Air 540's dimensions are 415mm x 332mm x 458mm which actually make the case cube shaped. The Corsair Air 540's two compartments are separated by a motherboard tray. The left side which is used to house all the components that attach to your motherboard as well as three pre-installed 140mm fans (two for intake and one for exhaust) and two Hot Swappable bottom mounted 3.5/2.5"HDD/SSD caddies. The right side behind the motherboard tray has plenty of room for cable management it will also accommodate up to a 200mm Power Supply has a removable 4 bay SSD tray and will hold up to 2 5.25" drives. This is not where the versatility ends by removing the front 140mm fans the Carbide Series Air 540 can hold up to a 360mm radiator as well as a 240mm radiator at the top. The Air 540 is constructed of steel and plastic and much to our surprise it was not very heavy even with a full build.

Corsair had to think outside of the box on this one, going with a non-standard style ATX computer case that had some great features. The moment the Corsair Carbide Air 540 cube case arrived on my doorstep, I was nothing short of intrigued just by the thought of dual chambers. I think Corsair nailed this case on the head and it will appeal to many enthusiasts...

During COMPUTEX 2013 CORSAIR introduced a few new enclosures, the Carbide 330R and the 450 AIR version. While the first is more a refinement of exiting designs, the new 450 AIR sports a revolutionary design for mass production cases. The concept behind this case is that the case is divided in two halves. One side houses the mainboard, graphic card and cooling devices; in the second compartment installation of the SSD and optical drives and power supply is foreseen, thus the airflow is maximized for the hotter running components of your favourite hardware. The big custom made cube cases, in particular the UFO series from Mountain Mods are the foundation for these particular multi-compartment designs. However CORSAIR seems to have pulled it off to bring this design to the masses at a fraction of the cost.

The Deep Silence 2 has an average price of just below 100 euros, and two fairly unique qualities. It's big enough for E-ATX motherboards, which is rare for this price segment. It's also designed to fit a radiator for liquid cooling. And like the Deep Silence 1, silence is supposed to be paramount.

The Fractal Design Define XL R2 R2 is designed to offer better expandability and flexibility than its predecessor. To do this Fractal included features such as removable hard drive cages, support for up to 7 case fans, 9 expansion slots and four areas that can accommodate a radiator without major modification.

Over the years In Win has always been able to create very attractive cases that we have really enjoyed. The thing about the cases is that they would always seem to be able to keep the price down. This is again the case with the GT1. A mid tower case that has great looks, support for long video cards, 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard drives, a hard drive dock and USB 3.0. All of those features come at a price of $64.99, which seems like a steal. Read on and see if it really is a steal of if this case turns out to be a disappointment.

Fractal Design has been in the chassis market for some time now, and those familiar with the name should instantly relate it with the words “minimalistic” and “professional”. The Swedish company has always strived to make more of less, while keeping their products aesthetically pleasing. The shear elegance of the Fractal Design Define XL R2 Black Pearl chassis then, makes it a truly unique case for those consumers who require space. Like its predecessor, the Define XL R2, a second generation XL case, is an attempt to further develop the chassis line by the ability to re-adjust, add, or remove select components of the XL case to better suit a wide range of consumer needs.
