Cases
The SilverStone Fortress FT03-MINI is a very small case targeted to Mini-ITX and Mini-DTX motherboards, yet it supports video cards up to 10" (254 mm) long (making it compatible with some high-end video cards such as the GeForce GTX 680, but high-end video cards from AMD are longer than that), and CPU coolers up to 3.1" (78mm) tall. It has a very unique tower design, based on the original FT03's (aptly nicknamed "trashcan" by some users), which allows one 140 mm fan to cool down the whole system. Let's take a look at this exquisite product.

We take a detailed look at the very compact FT03-MINI from Silverstone.

Cases
The SilverStone Fortress FT04 Case looks brilliant, comes with aluminum front door and top panel, two 180mm fans, lots of drives, tons of space to work, has a removable motherboard tray, fits long video cards, cable management, acoustic dampening material and more. This case is awesome!
Cases
SilverStone's Fortress FT04 is, ostensibly, a reskinned
version of the RV04. But with subtle differences under the hood, is it enough
to make all the difference?
Cases
With a rotated motherboard platform and some serious cooling
performance, how does the more conservative looking, aluminum/steel version
of the RV05 compare? We took in a SilverStone Fortress FT05 to find out.
Cases
The SilverStone Fortress FT05B is an unusual ATX case, as it has pretty much all the usual parts and features however they are not in the usual locations. Where the FT05B-W departs from the norm is the way the motherboard is rotated 90 degrees so the I/O panel sits at the top of the case.
This means that cooling air that usually enters from the front of the case is actually drawn in from the bottom and then blown vertically up the case by the two huge 180mm Air Penetrator fans (that’s £30 right there) that occupy the floor of the case. When you consider that hot air rises this arrangement makes perfect sense, however it also makes the design of the case a little complicated.
Cases
Not having reviewed a SilverStone case in the past, I was nevertheless aware of their reputation for quality and performance. Therefore, I had high expectations when the Fortress arrived here in the Tweaknews lab. To say that I was impressed with this chassis would be a bit of an understatement. With top-of-the-line cooling performance, a rich and innovative feature set, great looks and a roomy and convenient interior, this is easily one of the best chassis' I've had the pleasure to review.

The Silverstone Fortress has always been one of the more unique choices from Silverstone, take their stunning FT03 and FT-03 mini for example. Yet where the last model features a tall tower design, the FT04 take an almost more conventional approach by being the shape and size of your average full-tower chassis.
Silverstone have got one of the best engineering teams in the industry and they’re often creating new features, innovations and methods for their products that set them apart from everything else. They also have one of the most robust and wide spread range of chassis products that cater to everything from super compact HTPC solutions, to enthusiast grade gaming chassis, even going into industrial and professional solutions. One thing is for certain, no matter the shape, size or price of your build, Silverstone will have something suitable for the job.
The FT04 is designed with thermal performance in mind, targeted at the high end / enthusiast market who are looking to build system with extensive cooling, multiple graphics cards and other extreme components. With a price tag of around £175 here in the UK it is hardly cheap, but as we’ve seen many times before with this grade of product, you often get what you pay for. So let’s get right to it and see just how far your budget goes when you invest in a high-end, high value chassis like the Fortress FT04.
The box is nicely detailed with a run down of the major features of the chassis, these include the aluminium front door, USB 3.0 support, dual 180mm front fans, independent PSU compartment, GPU support arm, removable motherboard tray, hot swap bays and dust filters.
