When building a new system I think one of the hardest things to decide on is your case. It is something you are going to have to look at every day and something you may want to show off at a LAN party. With that said many people do not have the money for a flashy over-the-top computer case. Many people would rather have a functional case than one that looks cool. The Rosewill R5 Mid Tower Case comes in at about $70 and features 3 included fans, fan controller, USB 3.0 support and removable air filters. Is the case for your next build? Read on and find out!

A couple of months ago Rosewill sent us a full tower case for review, the THOR v2, and today they have sent Benchmark Reviews their new mid-tower case, the Ranger. Rosewill's Ranger mid-tower case is the latest in Rosewill's case lineup and enters perhaps the most competitive case class there is. With excellent mid-tower cases to be had for 70-80USD, such as the Cooler Master HAF series and the aging but venerable Storm Scout, among others, any manufacturer entering a case into this class is entering into pure case warfare. Even though Rosewill's THOR v2 was a knockoff with some Rosewill specific tweaking, it was a good case and I gave it high marks. Let's see if the Ranger can measures up to its intended market like its big brother did.

Rosewill has had a renaissance of sorts in the case market. Trying to provide the right mix of features at the right price is always going to be a challenge – it’s a moving target. Lately though, Rosewill has been getting it right and some of their recent offerings have been very well received by enthusiasts. The Ranger-M Chassis seeks to earn its place among its peers and, at least on paper, it seems to have a shot. Our review today will examine the Rosewill Ranger-M MicroATX Dual Fan Mini Tower Computer which can be found at an extremely affordable price of $49.99

Recently, Rosewill sent to Benchmark Reviews their THOR 2 full tower gamer, enthusiast case for a good thrashing. The THOR 2 is the second evolution of the THOR series. When I first saw this case I was curious because it looked pretty lean, mean, and clean while avoiding what I call the "We are Borg, resistance is futile" look. So is the THOR 2 as mean as it looks? What's new for version 2? Will we send it to the case scrap pile in the sky, or will it soar like Thor into the heavens? Let's check it out.

Rosewill has delivered me a chassis that really made me think. While I sit here and try to put my finger on where this case design actually came from, it confuses me more and more. What I have been able to deduce is this is basically a HAF 932 that took on a major redesign along with adding things that make me think it resembles other chassis'. Basically, what I see is the basic concept resembles the HAF 932, but has been stretched taller inside by removing the top power supply mount. So what is the benefit to giving the interior the rack treatment? In this instance it opened the chassis to allow for XL-ATX motherboards, added space for another hard drive, and in the back the chassis can support up to 10 expansion cards. Seems all good so far!

Almost 2 years ago, XL-ATX set out to be the defining standard for enthusiast grade motherboards. Some early successes came about since EVGA and Gigabyte released boards using the standard, but it never became mainstream. With that said, today we get to look at another XL-ATX case design for gamers with the Rosewill Thor v2; which is an update to the original Thor that we reviewed back in March 2011.
