Today we have the Raidmax Viper on our test bench for testing. Raidmax is well known across the industry as always having some wild looking cases, because they like to push the envelope in the aesthetic department. The Viper is one of the more tame designs they have produced, which could be a good thing for some people. It sports a USB 3.0 connection that has an internal connection for motherboards and comes in three different color schemes. We have the Black/Orange themed Viper today. The other color schemes are White/Red and Red/Black. Now we shall see how well this Viper does in our testing. Read on …

With new cases continually being released by all of the major manufactures, we are getting more features, better build quality, higher airflow, and better looks while prices decrease. Today we will review Raidmax's newest mid-tower entry, the Viper. It has all of the biggest features to go toe-to-toe with the best cases on the market, but will its features be enough to hold its own against its vast amount of competitors?

People on a tight budget may not pay much attention when looking for a PC case but gamers, enthusiasts, overclockers and professionals alike tend to spend countless hours online checking reviews and specifications sheets before they finalize their decision. Ever since the beginning of the 90's when i first started working with personal computers i have used and tested countless towers from entry level budget models and up to ultra-high end ones that cost almost as much as a complete system. However at the end of the day although all of those were designed by a very large list of manufacturers in the market i can't really say that I’ve had the pleasure of cooperating with every single one. Raidmax is amongst the oldest PC Case manufacturers around and although not a complete stranger to me this is the first time after many years that i have one of their latest midi towers called the Viper GX on the photo bench.

Hop in my "way-back machine" with me as it has been almost two years since I reviewed the Skyline from Raidmax and this is likely why Raidmax didn't auto-associate for me at first. Judging from what I just went back and seen with the Skyline, there are lots of things that Raidmax could have updated, upgraded and brought up to speed with today's case offerings. Just from what I can see on the packaging, most of the issues with the older chassis have been reworked and the latest submission has been updated and this chassis comes with a very unique front bezel design and an interior color combination that threw me off my game for a few minutes.

Today for review I’ve got another PC case, it’s the new on from Raidmax called the Viper. These case features three 120mm cooling fans pre-installed, along with tool-less installation for your hard drive and 5.25” bays. The case also features fold out handles on the side panels for easy removal and holes already there for your water cooling setup if that’s what you’re running. The case is a bit small, but it looks good and it’s well made. I’ve put a system into it so read on to see how it worked out…

Although the latest Icy Box IB-272StU-OT by RaidSonic looks great, is made by aluminum, features a one touch backup button and comes with a very good price tag attached its USB 2.0 makes it suitable only for people who don't really care about transfer speeds.

Continuous price drops in the storage industry have made it possible for many people to currently have at least one brand new external 2-3TB drive sitting ontop of their desks. Unfortunately not everyone can afford to get new drives all the time and so if you happen to have a couple of let’s say 1TB ones laying around chances are that you will want to make good use of them and to do so you obviously need an external HDD enclosure that can fit both. There are many available USB 3.0 compatible models in the market some of which can even hold up to 8 drives but there aren't really many that allow the owner to use the drives in anything other than single and/or BIG mode. Today on our test bench we have the latest dual bay addition in the ICY BOX line by RaidSonic, the IB-RD3662U3S External HDD RAID Enclosure.
