The latest case in the HAF range is the XM model, a mid-tower which takes the overall design of the HAF X and shrinks the dimensions. Today we have a HAF XM on our test bench and will be looking in at it in detail to see if Cooler Master have another high quality case on the market.
Cooler Master’s HAF X full tower case was released about 2 years ago and since then it has been their premier full tower case. While full tower cases are great many people do not want a case that large or may not have room for it. For those who love all of the features of the HAF X Cooler Master has just released the HAF XM, which they say is “the essence of a HAF X distilled into its purest form; a mid-tower enclosure”. This mid tower case features support for up to four 200mm fans, a latched side panel, two external hot swap X-Docks, 3-way SLI or CrossFire support and dust filters on every intake! From start to finish the design of the Cooler Master HAF XM is top notch. There are no sharp edges, everything fits well together, nothing in it feel flimsy, and every detail that I could think of has been thought of in its design. If you're building a system with multiple video cards, hard drives, water cooling, and multiple optical drives, this case can handle it.

Today for review I have a case or chassis from Cooler Master called the HAF XB. This is a smaller style case, what might be called a lanbox but it’s not just for gaming of course as you can use it for anything. What makes the HAF XB really special is the fact that it also doubles as a test bench. Me, being a reviewer, can very much appreciate a tech bench as it makes life easier for testing products. Just because it’s a test bench doesn’t mean that the average user can’t use it, in fact being a test bench allows you to fully open it up and get inside making installation of you system just that much easier. The HAF XB allows you to use even the largest video cards and you can easily fit three of them inside for a nice gaming system.
