Today I’ve got a big review of a big case for you; It’s the latest case from NZXT called the Switch 810 and it’s just full of features that anyone is sure to appreciate. Personally I like this case a lot, it is big but that just means there’s more room for installation and upgrades. The version I got is white in color which is, I think, a nice change from the common black that we see all of the time. The Switch 810 is a full tower case made for those that need the room for things like watercooling or large high-end video cards, but that’s not to say the average user won’t appreciate the other features like the built-in card reader, hot-swap bay, lighted rear ports, plenty of wire management options and just many other features too numerous to list here in the intro. So let’s just get into it…

A few months ago we took a look at the latest chassis from NZXT, the Switch 810. It scored well but no case is perfect and since that original launch NZXT have been listening to feedback from end users and reviewers which has resulted in a special edition of the case. With a Gun Metal finish and some revised design aspects the latest 810 aims to provide everything the mainstream and enthusiast user needs and we have one on our test bench today.

At CES 2012, NZXT launched a new full tower case they've dubbed the Switch 810. NZXT is calling this a "hybrid" tower design, suitable for extreme air cooling or complex liquid cooling setups, and offering users a choice between maximum airflow or noise reduction. With up to ten 120/140mm fans, top 360/420mm and bottom 140/240mm radiator support, pivoting internal fan mounts and removable dust filters, NZXT is definitely taking the cooling aspect of this case seriously.

NZXT is one that is well known for doing things to set itself apart and recently sent us their latest incarnation, the Switch 810. Read on to see if the extra features make us ho hum or say WOW!

Digging into my NZXT file to grab the template I write with for NZXT, I realized it has been almost four months since I wrote anything for NZXT as far as cases go. This might explain the sudden explosion of submission to me for testing as of late. This review will be the first of four coming up from NZXT in the next month or so, as they go live on TweakTown. I figured I would go about this quartet of cases with a diplomatic approach and since all of these new releases are based off of a number system in their names, I figured I would start with the smallest and work my way up the chain. I figure this is not only fair, but will give me a really good opportunity to see what each case has to offer as the series progresses and I assume pricing increases.
