Today for review I've got a quick one actually, it's a set of cables from NZXT. They're just called Premium Cables, and for good reason they're very nicely made. These cables are essentially extensions for other cables you may already have coming from your PSU, and that can make them very useful for anyone really.
Rogue from NZXT is a hybrid steel/aluminum small form factor case targeted to gamers, but we do believe that regular users may be interested in building a PC using this case due to its compact size and high quality.
NZXT's entry into the SFF market can certainly be summed up as a decent first attempt. I give the company points for coming up with a unique design that deviates away from the standard cookie cutter type stuff currently available on the market. Overall highlights to look out for are the beautiful brushed aluminum bezel and side panels, embedded chrome lock, five 120mm stock fan mounts for good air circulation and support for full sized PSU's.
Over the past few years NZXT have released 3 variations of their Sentry line of fan controllers. The first 2 models were front mounted inside a case which often meant cables everywhere. Today we have their first external fan controller the Sentry LXE in the KitGuru labs. The Sentry LXE is an external touch screen display that allows the control of up to 5 fans and 5 thermal probes using the touch screen display.
KitGuru has reviewed many items from NZXT since we opened a little over a year ago. Today we have one of their latest items to hit the market, the Sentry Mesh.
The Sentry Mesh is a new fan controller that features 5 individual 30 watt channels and it fits into any available 5.25″ drive bay.
NZXT has just released their latest offering in the fan controller market, The Sentry Mix. The Sentry Mix is very similar in design to the Sentry Mesh that we looked at in back in June. The front panel design once again simulates the look of a graphic equalizer.
NZXT don’t just produce high end cases. Today we are going to look at one of their value case offerings, the Source 210 elite, which is sure to leave your bank manager feeling much happier. At a shade under £40, it is about as cheap as it gets for the big name case manufacturers, going up against models like the Silverstone PS03B.
When buying a case enthusiasts must balance between cost, aesthetics, and build quality. Normally you can only have two of these three things but on rare occasions companies produce a case that has all three properties in one case. NZXT has given enthusiast one of these rare cases with the NZXT Source 210 Elite which at $50 combines all three of these traits into one case. Benchmark Reviews will see if the Source 210 Elite is really the holy grail of mainstream cases or will this perfect looking case fall apart when scrutinized?
The NZXT Source 210 Elite reminds me of November 15, 2001. Why? Well, that was the day that the word "elite" would have more than one meaning. The fact Halo was released almost ten years ago is starting to make me feel old, and I'm not even that old yet. With the anniversary version of the game coming out on November 15 this year, I have a feeling Microsoft just wants to rub it in I'm not a kid anymore. Halo was a video game I have poured endless hours into with my friends. Halo was the first game I have played in LAN parties with that has meaningful experiences. Halo means more than just shooting aliens and battling up against friends -- oh good old nostalgia. Halo was a social activity for me during my youth, and has been a huge inspiration for my adulthood. For those who don't know what a Covenant Elite is, allow me to explain. Elites are the high ranking military officers in a collective alien armada known as the Covenant. They stand at over eight feet tall, have mandibles instead of lower jaws, and look reptilian. Essentially, they were the common, yet challenging, enemy that you would fight during the campaign. The NZXT Source 210 Elite just happens to feature the same color scheme as the white elites in the game. For those that don't know, white elites were one kind of elite you feared the most, because when you came across one, it meant serious business. The real question here is, does the Source 210 Elite mean serious business, or is it just another face-roller? Read on to find out!
Just last week we took a look at the Tempest 210 which at that time I had remarked about how it resembled a Source 210 that NZXT had already been selling. Well, this time I actually, without really paying attention to the names of each case, have sort of put the cart a little ahead of the horse with this one. After looking at the Tempest 210 and what it had to offer in a very user friendly price range, I now am going to be taking a look at the latest version of the Source 210 NZXT has added to the Classic Series.
