What is it that you should look for in a computer case, exactly? The market is full of many different styles with plenty of different features and the prices range from next-to-nothing to arm-and-a-leg. When deciding on a computer case, those are the three areas you want to focus on; price, functionality, and style. Computer case manufacturers are constantly trying to find a balance between those three items by giving customers everything they want at a price they can afford and in a style that they'll like. NZXT is a company that tries hard to please gamers and enthusiasts and their products reflect that. At CES 2012, NZXT announced a completely new case design that offers a lot of functionality for its price. In this article, Benchmark Reviews is exploring the NZXT Switch 810 Full Tower Computer Chassis to help you find out where it fits for you within those three categories.

The 904 from In Win is a case that looks amazing and is designed to perform also. The 904 is pretty unique with a solid aluminum (T4.0/2.0mm) main shell and two thick panes of tempered safety glass for either side. It comes with hot swappable drive bays that already have some cable management built into the case. There is 3 x 3.5” drive bays (the swappable ones) and two other places for 2.5” drives. The positioning is unique in that the 3.5” bays are in the top right corner and turned vertically. The 2.5” drives are mounted on the inside front of the case. The single optical drive is in an odd position, tucked away underneath the PSU, kind of in the middle bottom of the case. The 904 is built for AiO water cooling, which is designed to mount externally on the back of the case.

As I was making a meeting with Lian Li on the CES show floor, I happened to show up a few minutes early. While JP from Lian Li was talking to someone I stood and waited my turn, but as I did I was also scouting the floor for my next meeting and I happened to see the Fractal Design booth. After I finished up with JP, I walked over to the Fractal booth and was greeted by a representative who I caught looking at my press badge to see who I was. So offhandedly I asked him, am I on some sort of blacklist I don't know about? I know it was a bit tongue and cheek to say that to them, but it set the mood for a great conversation and what must have been a twenty minute tour around their both looking at what I had missed along with a sick looking BF3 case mod.

Antec has been the top choice for system builders and hardware enthusiasts for almost a decade now, which is quite surprising when you consider the competition. But the good old days of beige box computer cases with plenty of fans lining the inside are long gone. To achieve market dominance in 2009, you have to manufacturer a product that features everything more would consider desirable. While visiting with Mr. Han Liu, Antec's product development director present at the 2009 International CES, Benchmark Reviews discussed the Antec P1000 gaming chassis prototype.

Some of the first reviews I wrote for Benchmark Reviews were for NZXT cases. Most of these were lower-end cases priced at $75 and under. Although the cases were inexpensive, I was impressed with both the quality of construction and the thought put into their design. Since then, NZXT has moved upmarket, starting with their original Phantom case, which has now become a series of its own. Just introduced is the new Phantom 630 case, the little brother of the Phantom 820 we've seen previously. At an MSRP of $179.99, this is a not an inexpensive case, so let's see if it's worth the money...
