Today HardwareHeaven are going to look at Cooler Master's latest mid-tower case, the CM 690 II Advanced, which is essentially an improved version of their popular CM 690 case. Its feature list compares well with much more expensive cases and today HardwareHeaven will see how user friendly it is, as well as how it does in terms of thermal performance.

One of the first things that we noticed with the PC-N1 is that Lian Li flipped the motherboard orientation. The CPU and chipset cooler is now located on the bottom of the case with large ventilation ports on both ends of the case. That obviously means that the I/O ports are now on the top of the PC-N1 case. On the front of the PC-N1 you have the brand name and the lone USB 2.0 port. Just above the front on the top cover you'll find the power button. The power button has been completely redesigned since the original prototype was shown at CES 2013...

In 2010, Thermaltake won the Red Dot Design Award for Product Design for their collaborative work with BMW DesignworksUSA. That product was called the Thermaltake Level 10 case. The Level 10 was an aesthetic innovation that broke many of the traditional "rules" of the computer chassis industry. The problem? It's original cost was $850. That's a little on the expensive side. In 2011, Thermaltake was at it again, reusing the general design of the Level 10 in order to create another case that won the Red Dot Design Award for Product Design, the Thermaltake Level 10 GT. By cutting the cost of such an innovative style of case by more than half, the Level 10 GT began to appeal to a much wider audience. Now Thermaltake has brought us another look in the Level 10 lineup. In this article, Benchmark Reviews brings you an in-depth look at the Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition Case.

Cooler Master recently introduced the Silencio 650, and Corsair released the Obsidian 550D, both cases in a similar price bracket and with an explicit emphasis on silent running. We took a closer look at both chassis to see which one cools the best and makes the least amount of noise. Since round-ups are one of our specialties, we put these two new chassis next to the Antec Sonata Solo II and five more cases that sell themselves as being quiet to find out which chassis is the most silent of them all.
