For anyone looking to build their own compact system, whether it be a desktop or maybe a HTPC, Cubitek offer the Mini Cube. Compatible with Mini-ITX boards and featuring enough space to route wiring behind the motherboard tray... as well as fit in a GTX 690 this could be the solution to a number of consumers builds.

You may not have heard much about Cubitek before as they are a very new player in the PC case market. In fact they only broke cover from the OEM market at the end of last year, releasing a small range of retail PC cases to compete with the likes of Antec and Cooler Master.

Verdict Now...

This is my introduction to Cubitek, an overseas case manufacturer that looks to compete with the likes of Lian Li. Let's see how they do.

Today we are going to look at the ATX ICE case which is one of the most recent additions to the Cubitek range.
Cubitek are aiming this case at the top-end of the market to compete with other all aluminium offerings like those from Lian Li. We look forward to seeing how it compares.

Media PCs and media centres are becoming more and more common, especially with people losing a little faith in their stalwart desktop system. Today I’m looking at a rig from Cryo PC that looks to bridge the gap between traditional desktop and media centre, offering decent performance in a lounge setting, with some media features thrown in for good measure. I give you the Alto.

It's been far too long since we saw a Cougar chassis in the eTeknix office, but I'm happy to say that they have graced us with their presence once again, for those of you who missed the older Cougar reviews you can read up on the robust Cougar Evolution and the very funky, if somewhat loudly styled Cougar Challenger.
Cougar has been on the market since 2007 and in terms of chassis and components manufacturers that makes them pretty new to the game, but that's still long enough to have given them plenty of experience with the modern demands and needs of the PC market and they've already proven them selves capable of build a rock solid product, with a unique visual twist in the past, lets hope they can offer us a repeat performance today and that they haven't lost any of the unique visual flair that sets the Cougar brand apart from many others.
“COUGAR is particularly targeting enthusiast gamers who not only demand state-of-the-art PC chassis and highly efficient power supplies, but also want to express their dynamic gaming lifestyle with reliable quality products.” – www.cougar-world.com
The chassis I'm looking at today is the Spike, a mini gaming tower design that is set to offer a solution for a mid to high performance gaming rig with a space saving compact chassis design, a tough part of the market to crack in deed given that everyone from Silverstone to Bitfenix has a compact solution, although not all within the same motherboard as the Spike, either way this should be an interesting review, so lets get started and see just what the Spike has to offer.
Cases
The Cougar Spike mini gaming tower case is a very budget friendly case, but it offers a few items you might not typically find at the lower end of the price scale. In addition to having a decent number of drive bays for a mini case, it has room for four 120mm cooling fans, a front panel USB 3.0 connection, and the matte black paint job covers all internal and external surfaces.
