I’ve reviewed a lot of Cooler Master cases over the years for Benchmark Reviews, and one thing that impresses me about the company is that they never stop innovating or refining. One has only to track the evolution of the Cosmos series of cases to see this writ large (very large, in the case of the Cosmos II), but what keeps my attention is the way they’ll roll smaller, incremental improvements into an existing case line. Today’s example: the Cooler Master Elite 130 mini-ITX computer case.

Today for review I’ve got another PC case, it’s the new on from Raidmax called the Viper. These case features three 120mm cooling fans pre-installed, along with tool-less installation for your hard drive and 5.25” bays. The case also features fold out handles on the side panels for easy removal and holes already there for your water cooling setup if that’s what you’re running. The case is a bit small, but it looks good and it’s well made. I’ve put a system into it so read on to see how it worked out…

Building a small yet powerful PC has never been easier, thanks to the increasing popularity of feature-packed mini-ITX motherboards. They've never been more attractive, either, as Lian Li's PC-Q12 mini-ITX proves. So, let's dig in and see if the chassis' features are as attractive as its aesthetics.

People on a tight budget may not pay much attention when looking for a PC case but gamers, enthusiasts, overclockers and professionals alike tend to spend countless hours online checking reviews and specifications sheets before they finalize their decision. Ever since the beginning of the 90's when i first started working with personal computers i have used and tested countless towers from entry level budget models and up to ultra-high end ones that cost almost as much as a complete system. However at the end of the day although all of those were designed by a very large list of manufacturers in the market i can't really say that I’ve had the pleasure of cooperating with every single one. Raidmax is amongst the oldest PC Case manufacturers around and although not a complete stranger to me this is the first time after many years that i have one of their latest midi towers called the Viper GX on the photo bench.

SilverStone Sugo SG05 is one of the smallest computer cases we've ever seen and yet it supports video cards up to 9" (22.8 cm) in length, making it a terrific case for building a very small but powerful PC. To shrink its size SilverStone decided to use a small CFX power supply, which comes with the product, and support only a slim optical drive, i.e. an optical drive originally targeted to laptops. Let's see what you can expect from this new case.

Now I don't mean to leave out the buyer who just wants to run air cooling, that is where this chassis gets its Hybrid Full Tower status. For those who want to go with water cooling there are two places inside the chassis for radiators and there is always the option to add externally. For those who want to air cool, the chassis is shipped with three 120mm fans and offers ten total locations for 120mm fans to be installed into this chassis, so you have all the opportunities you need if you are an air cooling sort of person. Then there is the third phase of this concept. You can use the chassis as it is shipped to your house and have the comfort of silence; I mean this case even has louvers that shut on the top to kill even more of the noise that can emanate from the chassis' interior.
