Those who know me, will be aware that I'm not a case person. I'd much rather have my systems sprawled across boxes or sitting on a test bench, and it's all down to the time it takes to change components. For those in the computer industry, much like ourselves, you'll know exactly what it's like when you are forever changing components in a system, and for us it's almost a daily chore to go with having a shower, brushing your teeth and after a short while it gets a bit tedious and repetitive to say the least.

Thermaltake has been around for what seems like as long as I have been around. While their beginnings may have been "rocky" and most users shun the name brand these days, I am here to tell you that Thermaltake has made leaps and bounds worth of improvement over this time frame. Even just looking back to the Element cases I was presented just over a year ago, Thermaltake has made big strides to improve not only their public image, but are making great moves to deliver us better and better cases as time goes by.

I’m always a bit skeptical of gaming cases, or the enthusiast cases. There’s no way I could convince myself to walk into my nearest Fry’s and pick one off the shelf that looked good. It simply goes against the common sense that many of us have developed to do our research before we buy. That said, when a Xion Predator AXP 970 landed in my lap for review, it felt a bit like the Russian roulette of performance cases. Knowing nothing about the case, I set out to personally acquaint myself with it.

Thermaltake is a brand that has been around for many years, and one we’re very familiar with at XtremeComputing. Today I will be reviewing the Thermaltake Chaser MK-I, one of Thermaltake’s latest gaming-ATX cases.

The HEC Blitz (a.k.a. 66RCBB) is an inexpensive mid-tower case, costing only USD 40. Carrying features usually found on more expensive models, let's see if it is a good pick.

The GS-6000 Optimus ATX mid tower PC case by Sentey stands out from the crowded case market by offering bold looks and as sub $50 price tag. The Sentey Optimus comes with four case fans and is aimed at gamers that are looking to build a PC on a budget. Read on to see if the Sentey Optimus is a decent inexpensive case or if they made it too cheap and is something that you should avoid.

Though most of the internals of a PC are heavily standardized, the case that houses them is one area where manufacturers have room to innovate. This, combined with the fairly undemanding requirements of the ATX specification, makes computer cases one of the most populous fields in DIY PC hardware. Cubitek, which got its start in OEM parts, has branched out into the consumer space with several cases. Today we'll be looking at the Tattoo Pro, which is aimed at the budget enthusiast sector.

When we visited Coolermaster Labs early this year we had some ideas how the new Enforcer was taking form. We also saw then some pre avalaution models of the now released Cosmos case. At Cebit 2011 Marco (CM's marketing guy for the Storm line up) was eager to show off their latest creation to us. It had some pretty good features that could please any gamer out there. Though we we had ( as usual ) some criticism on some concept ideas. Though with the final products arriving at the Madshrimps lab we can see if Coolermaster created the ultimate game case yes or no.

I’ll say it like it is, The Cooler Master Elite 310 is not the case you’re going to be selecting for your next powerful gaming rig. However, it still a solid case that would be suitable for a budget build or if you’re going for something less flashy. The one we received was the model with the white chassis and the pink front plate. So this model may be a great one to go with if you’re looking for something for the lady in your life, or the guys who enjoy the color pink (you know who you are). Still, it should be noted that the case is also available in black, and has a fairly diverse selection of front plate coloring options. So fear not, pink is not your only choice!
